Agg! I'm at 4,000 words for nano and I just need to get to 5000 today so I can be cool and say I'm 1/10th of the way there. How far are all of you guys?? I'm curious to know, although it might be bad for me because I tend to compete with people without even knowing it.

That's great! As for me, the rate I'm going will lead me to finishing by the middle of December. Go figure, since this is my first year, but otherwise, it's been fun.

It's my first year too

Yesterday I totally forgot so I'm trying to get ahead. Especially because I will be in school a lot and won't have as much time to write. I think this is a great program, and the pep talks they send out honestly DO help! It's amazing what some nice words can do for a person.

This NaNo will be the death of me xD ! November just happens to be the busiest month of the year for me (so fitting right?) but I've managed to get to 3379 c: I can't really do anything now, as I have to walk to school, but hopefully around 8:30-9:00pm I'll get my 1,666 words done! But then there's always that last-minute homework project that's due the next day...:c

@watermelon- That could actually be quite fun! However by the end of NaNo we're all going to be sick of writing xD Perhaps January-February you could do it? But then it would really help if it was in the school holidays! And perhaps for prizes it could be like: 15,000 words= a common pet, 25,000 words= an uncommon pet, 45,000+ words= lots of uncommons (10-'08) or two rares (depending on how much everyone is donating c; )

I still am sitting on the idea of writing story features. It would seriously bring a lot more attention to us.... and our form of art.

Is there a way to contact CS about things like ideas and such? Maybe we could start a petition or something for a real "writers event" and they would make cute pets for it and we could write to get the pets...? There would be writing "mods" who could critique on a hardness scale..
