Then again, some characters actually fit into that category well.|

I agree. Oh dear, do I agree!
There have been SO many books/stories I've read that have amazing plots, but
the author just kills it. Whether it be because there are Mary or Gary Sue characters, or no deaths, or grammar mistakes, or whatever, it just kills me.

I find them very bland to read.|

Wondering,
Does anyone else spend like half of the time decorating things when you go to type something up on a word document? I'm like "Ohh that font is cool- what happens if you do this??"

Also... how do you write a GOOD death scene?

Well, you shouldn't make it over the top dramatic, but have some shock from the other characters, sadness, memorable lines that tug the heart strings. so not, 'billy died "NOOOOOOOO BILLY!!!"', but more like, "I'm sorry cassandra, I wish It didn't have to end."
Cassandra was too shocked to reply and she was suddenly overtaken with grief and started to sob uncontrollably'

typically, my characters don't even get last words. but it depends on the kind of death you want. a good death tugs at the heartstrings and is filled with emotion. time slows down and people notice things about the death they wouldn't usually. i have a death scene somewhere that i thought was pretty good, if you'd like a sample from myself.

You should post it here! It's always appriciated!

You know one of my biggest annoyances when writing? When I'm trying to sleep, and I think of the BEST idea- then when I wake up it is just GONE. It really makes me mad because I could've written something great using it.

Hhehe... italics

EXACTLY.
Anyways, I'm working on a book in RL, and was wondering if I'd be allowed to post a chapter here (If I end up wanting to), or would that be spam?
