Elphaba Thropp wrote:I have a massive four-part series planned out.
Series 1 takes place in the 13th or 12th century, in the midst of a war between two countries. Berath is a sunny, warm country, and its people are often fair-skinned and light-haired. Calcifar has many mountains, and is usually quite cold. Its people generally look Asian or European with black hair. The war began because the prince of Calcifar was abducted, supposedly by Berath, but no one knows why Berath was accused. Halfway into the war, Calcifar, the losing country, used magic to transform thousands of animals into human form, to serve as soldiers. However, the new species, called the Anima, still had the minds of animals, and thanks to the heightened strength, speed, and agility they had been given, they escaped and slaughtered thousands.
The series follows the lives of Peter, a young man raised by monks in Berath, and Eden, a mage who lives and works in a traveling carnival in Calcifar. Though their lives are completely different, they share one common trait: each of them resembles the people of the enemy country.
As the series progresses, Peter and Eden's paths intertwine with each other, and the more they learn about their pasts, the closer they become to ending the war that has ravaged both of their countries.
Series 2 takes place roughly 30 years after the end of the first series. Things are peaceful between Berath and Calcifar now, and Peter lives with five of his six children in the newly founded province of Soluna, acting as its leader. All but one of Peter's children has some sort of magic, and some of them were born with it, something never documented before. Esther, the oldest, often has visions accompanied by headaches, a product of her mother tampering with dark magic while pregnant with her. Lynette can manipulate objects, read thoughts, and influence one’s will, which enabled her to become an accomplished thief. Kay, the oldest son, was born with a terrible curse that causes any living thing he touches with his bare left hand to die instantly. Seraphina has the magic of the Beast inside of her, enabling her to transform into a variety of animals. Her twin brother, Garth, has healing magic, able to mend a broken bone or cure an illness with a touch and willpower. Nimue, the youngest, has no magic at all, something that estranged her from her siblings.
Kay’s curse had such a negative effect on him (think of the effect Elsa’s magic had on her—it’s basically the same situation) that after he accidentally killed someone, he fled from his family, taking up shelter in the mountains where he vowed he would never hurt anyone again. Nimue left soon afterwards, seeking out her brother in the mountains and staying with him. It was not long before the two of them had gained a following of people, doing their bidding only out of fear. Kay used his power to search for a means to rid himself of his curse, killing hundreds along the way although he hated to. Nimue, on the other hand, searched for a way to gain magic. As magic normally only enters a soul if that person is in mortal danger, she put herself into mortal peril again and again by means of drowning, mauling, and mutilation. Finally, she managed to imbue every type of magic into her, the first mage ever to do so, but the repercussions left her badly scarred and crippled. After gathering together, Esther, Lynette, Seraphina, and Garth set out to stop their brother and sister, and along the way they learned more about their past—and their parents’ past—than they ever wanted to know.
Series 3 takes place in modern day. Professor Asher, a brilliant geneticist from America, was inspired by the legends of the Anima as a child. She opened the Asher Research Facility, where she began to genetically engineer twenty-six human fetuses, each of them with the DNA and characteristics of a certain animal. These people, referred to as Asher’s Anima, were meant to be used as super-soldiers just as the original Anima were. The story follows sixteen-year-old Alpha 61524 Vulpis, or, as she is commonly known, Fox. She has never left the building she was born in, going through the same daily routine as the rest of Asher’s Anima for years. She is put through rigorous training exercises specialized to her animal characteristics, but all is not well at the Asher Research Facility. Some of Asher’s Anima are going rogue, meaning that the animal part of them is taking over their consciousness and causing them to rampage, damaging things and hurting people, but strangely, it’s not only Asher’s Anima who go rogue. The ones who go rogue are taken away and are never seen again—they are trying to hide the problem. After all, Asher’s Anima themselves are a secret that no government knows about. However, when Asher’s seventeen year old son Kai, a soldier himself, arrives on the scene, he asks Fox to find out what his mother is doing with her Anima and the real reasons for why she created them—and what they find out is more horrifying than they could ever imagine.
Series 4 takes place in the future, in an apocalyptic hellscape that is the first series all over again. After the famous AA virus wiped out half of the planet’s population, those immune to it banded together to try to survive. Remus is the leader of a band of survivors who live in an abandoned mall, and day after day they fight AA victims and try to protect themselves. Remus wants to get to the bottom of the virus, believing there must be a way to stop it, but her duty as the leader of her group prevents her from doing so. When a strange woman somehow staggers past their guards and into their mall undetected with a bullet wound, Remus enlists her help in putting an end to the war—and when someone close to her is infected, she must do whatever she can to save them before her people take matters into their own hands.
Sorry it was so long, I have a lot planned for it! So what do you guys think? Would you read it?

My only problem with it is it's nearly exactly like the movie (even the names, Rana, Elisa, ect., sound similar.) Was this on purpose...?

When all is Faded and is torn
I believe in the things unseen and untold
Through all the ages drawn to light
The fire within the sight
Breaking waters as clear as the moon
For the storm has come again
Destruction and chaos and bringing of light
Yet nothing you can see is in my sight
For the fire that dwells deep within
For the ice and the storm that is in sight
