I think a bit of both.
After all, anyone can learn the skill. Anyone can be a writer, if they continually strive to improve.
But it's significantly more difficult for those who weren't born with that sort of talent, or the sort of imagination that can come up with plots easily.

I'd like some advice and opinions on my novel's plot, though it may be best discussed over pm. Is there anyone who might have a good perspective on angels and biblical references? I'm terribly stumped and have researched endlessly with still a lot of bumps in my novel. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I did a few on here when I was fairly young, but i'm so ashamed of them i'd rather not share. Go hunt them down if you wish, I'd rather just start clean with my new story.

I'm glad that I'm accepted, I think I was also on the V2 thread... Long time ago.

I was wondering, on here, does anyone have a specific genre they stick to or does everyone's writing flow into other genres too? 'Cause my writing seems to stick with fantasy when it comes to roleplay, then when I'm writing short stories, it just turns into a depressing and much more of a reality based story.

Well, everyone can basically do what they do! I love fantasy and write it just as much as Realistic fiction, my second favorite. So you can switch through, or work on something directed.

I know Stray dog has been working on some terror novels, and I don't think he was doing that before...{again sorry on the gender thing, }

There has to be romance and tragedy in mine, and I also prefer a creepier or more taboo / wrong / disturbing writing to a happy, predictable one. I started writing a stalker one a while ago about a Freshman in college stalking an eleven-year-old. That probably sounds disgusting though so yeah. /shot ; I also write lots of abuse stories.
that's just what I write, I've tried to change it but I can't, I lose interest in other things.
