Dusty's Diary

Postby The Pirate Dragon » Sun Feb 17, 2013 12:37 pm

Dusty is this Lumirett that I'm trying out for, so I'm making a diary to keep track of her history because it's part of the form. I hope I win, I really do like her!

So, now the diary begins. Please no posting yet, it's not quite finished. I will tell you when it's ready for posting.
I'm not really active here anymore. Please don't ask for my pets or OCs!

ENTRY 1 -
Today felt fresh, it felt unique, and today felt like the day I was going to accomplish the impossible. After all, who hasn't heard about "Dusty the Daring?" Today, I knew I would change the world.

It all started one peaceful afternoon when I decided to go explore some caves that resided where I live by. Living in the mountains had many privileges for adventurous Lumiretts like me. I grabbed my dark, olive green backpack and threw in a couple water bottles, a first aid kit, some energy bars, and a long piece of rope all rolled up. Then I snatched my safari hat and sped out the door of my straw hut.

I traversed the rocky terrain of my homeland and stepped on the small blades of grass that peeked out of the dirt. The higher I went up the jagged path that was faintly brushed off on the mountain, the colder it started to get, but I was working up a real sweat that kept me cool. Besides, I've traveled through the coldest frost of winter to the warmest ray of summer.

What drove my main purpose to reach the top of this mountain today was the strange blue-ish clouds that circled the peak of the highest mountain in the area. The village that lived not so far from the mountain range was very skittish about the mountains due to some legend about blue clouds, but they needed someone to go up and investigate. I, the “Trusty ‘Dusty’ Explorer” of the village, took the risk to check out what was going to for the safety and security of all the Lumiretts that resided in their unique abodes.

As I neared the top of the mountain and came very close to the blue fog, I smelled something very peculiar and familiar. It choked my through and gagged me as the suffocating stench cleared my mind. I lowered my ears and put a paw over my nose, trying to get to the top and find out what was going on, when I stumbled to the ground. I spat out cough after cough and tried to clear my throat, gasping for fresh air when I put mouth and nose under my paws. The fog drew closer and surrounded itself around me, engulfing me in blindness and stinging my eyes. I closed my eyes and tried to pull myself together. I felt intensely weaker and curled my tail around me in front of my face, trying to get a good view with the glow of the wisp at the end of my tail. I noticed the wisp start to flicker and die down, when I became so weak I went unconscious.

I woke up with heavy paws and a headache. I wasn't sure why that fog had felt so… familiar, but something inside me told me to avoid it next time, probably just the fact that it had knocked me out. In fact, when I awoke, I realized I wasn't in the same place that I was before. I had been moved to some sort of cavern, almost like an underground temple. I looked around to see pillars and stone walls covered in vines and moss, and the ground was cold and damp. There was a hallway that went down and immediately turned right, but otherwise, the large, square room I was in looked esoteric. There were wooden spears topped with shiny, sharp arrowheads that gleamed under the orange torchlight that gave the room a warm glow. There were also silver, cracked armor pieces scattered across the mossy cobblestone floor.

Even though neither a sound nor a being appeared anywhere, it felt like there were many Lumiretts surrounding me. I felt watched, stalked, followed. However, a warm breeze pierced through the air and surrounded me, making me feel as though someone was protecting me. I felt a brush against my side and then my fur stuck on my neck. I saw no one and heard nothing but then the pitter patter of footsteps running towards the hall shattered the silence. I thought I heard a faint scream as the air suddenly froze and became immensely colder again.

Entry 3 -
My ears pricked up in alarm from what I thought I heard, and I turned my head around, scanning everything to see if there was something I missed. I put my nose high up into the air and took a great bit breath. The air was stingy but thin, almost as if there was much more behind the hallway. I crept down the hall and peaked around the corner. The hall seemed to extend for miles, but there was no sign of anything hiding or crawling down the hall. I slowly stalked down the hall, pricking my ears in case something decided to sneak up behind me. My tail just barely hovered against the floor, but did not touch it. The walls to the long hall were lined in giant stone bricks and the floor and ceiling were lined the same way. Moss and vines entangled the stone and were embedded into each crack. Then, I thought I heard something slam behind me.

I spun around and saw what seemed like a door shut behind me. Whatever was going on, it knew I was around. Forget being hidden, I ran straight forward down the hall and felt my paws slam against the cold floor. After hearing each "thud" as a paw touched the ground, I felt like Lumiretts a mile away could hear me running. Then, something came into view; a room! It seemed and awful lot like the own I had just came from, but maybe there would be a way out from here. I sped up to reach it and heard several more slams. There were tons of door appearing from above and blocking the path, trying to stop me, but I knew I just had to get across. I increased my speed by a bit and neared the room. The doors were starting to catch up and I started to panic. My breath got shallower and it became harder to run. Just as I got close enough, I leapt and tumbled into the room. You wouldn't believe what I saw.
