I had the most normal night of my life that night. The best one I've had in months actually. We had a wonderful meal, I had never eaten so much food in my life. It made me realize how much I hadn't eaten since Violet died. So much rich food made me feel sick to my stomach later on at night. I knew I needed to cut down in good until my stomach was used to it again.
I changed into sweats and a tank top to sleep in and once again no matter what I said Derek would not let me sleep on the couch. I shot him one last look before crossing my arms over my chest and making my way down stairs. Instead of going to his room I went to the bathroom to change my bandages.
The moment I looked in the mirror I didn't see myself. I looked pretty and strong but I knew I really wasn't any of those things. I sighed softly to myself and just changed the bandages. I winced slightly at the sight of it and bandaged it up quickly. It had been really irritated lately and sometimes I would get a sharp pain. I narrowed my eyes slightly and pulled my tank top strap back up before putting my hair into a side braid and walking back to Derek's bedroom.
When I opened the door to the bedroom I saw Derek, laying on the bed with his legs crossed and his head resting on his hands. When he saw me a smirk showed up on his face and he patted a spot right next to him on the bed. I narrowed my eyes at him and turned on my heels to sleep on the couch. I remembered the night when he abnoxiously made me feel uncomfortable almost the entire night. It wasn't about to happen again.
Derek jumped off the bed and snaked his arms sneakily around my waist and slinging me over his shoulder just like the other night. I slammed my fists against Derek's chest, I was about to let out a scream for him to let me go but he noticed and clamped his hand over my mouth. Chuckling, Derek set me down on the bed and pulled the sheets over me before sliding in himself. I bolted up, hiding in a bright smile by biting down hard on my lip. I was just about to get away from him but he grabbed me by my sides and started to tickle me. I let out the huge smile and laugh I had been holding in.
Derek laughed along with me and continued to tickle me. I struggled against him, laughing harder. I squeezed my eyes shut tight and elbowed him harder than I wanted to. He let go of me instantly and clutched his stomach.
"I am so sorry! I didn't mean it!" I apologized while laughing still. Derek let out a small huff of pain the smiled at me.
"It's all good, I was the idiot who decided to mess with a ticking time bomb." I smirked at him the slipped back under the sheets.
"Then maybe you should think twice before stealing me away from the floor." I teased, laying my head down on the pillow. He did the same but looked right into my eyes. I felt my whole body tense up, I was just now realizing how good looking he actually was. My cheeks burned up and looked away for a moment. Derek placed his fingers under my chin and lifted my head up to look at him.
"Why so shy red head?" He asked with a small smile. I opened my mouth to say something but changed my wording, not wanting to sound weird.
"It's just I've never had a friend as weird as you." I gave him a small smile in return. Derek lost his smile and he gently took my braid in his hand and ran his thumb across it before letting it drop onto my shoulder.
"I don't want to be friends." He murmured quietly. I narrowed my eyes slightly but before I had time to say anything he cupped my face in his hands then pressed his full lips against mine. My eyes widened slightly, I couldn't believe this was happening. I placed my hands on his chest and pushed him away slightly, pulling my face away from his.
"I am so sorry." He muttered under his breath, looking away from me. I felt my anxiety building up inside me and I was just shocked
"Derek, I'm just not ready for something like that." I managed to get out. I didn't know what else to do so I just stood up and quickly walked out, going upstairs to the couch.

Sorry about the shortness -__- I wanted it longer but I couldn't think of anything else to write that would go well and that seemed like a good place to end.
