I shall give it a shot

So many pets to love
but some don't get enough
the pound accepts them with open arms
on dog in particular, feels the most betrayed
she waits
and waits
for that fateful day when someone will adopt her
the pound is open
her cute eyes capture the heart of one user
Adopted
She can get the love she deserves
She has a nice place now
In a cozy little group
Surrounded by other nice pets
Who are all very loved
She is happy.

I've only been writing free-form for a bit so this probably isn't that great

I am rare. But I wasn't supposed to be here.
Many accounts, taking just cats.
Trying and trying until I was found.
It was happy, a bad member which got their wish.
An evil wish brought upon me.
The admins' fury burned through the user.
Swept away to Queue 1, or Queue 2.
In the Pound groups.
One day.
I have many neighbors.
They put me out, a small timer and I shuffle.
One lucky fellow sees "On your Wishlist!"
They click and take me, a home I have found!
Is this the end? Of course not, I'm auctioned.
Starting the cycle again?

Okay, that's mine. *walks away*

Lost
Swept Away,
What to do,
Abandoned as a stray,

Lonley
How will I live,
The street is dark,
With no hope to give,

Fear
As I stare into the light,
Spine standing up,
My eyes in great fright,

Mystery
What is this thing that I see,
Two lights and four wheels,
Has it come for me,

Hope
I see two beings standing up,
Smiling bright,
Petting me like a pup

Chance
I finally have a chance for family,
So now I wait,
For my destiny

Metal bars clang down,
Darkness closes in,
Only thin strips of light streaming in,
The walls seemed to close in,
Falling,
Forever closing in,

Her body lay limply,
Derived of hope,
On the cold steel floor,
Her claws hopelessly tried to scratch it,
Not even making a scuff,

A door screeched open,
Light streamed in,
Muffled voices echoed,
The doors flew open,
Cold wind blasted in,
Two shadows loomed over her,

The hands lifted her,
And brought her out of the prison,
Taking her away,
Away from the metal bears,
The bars with the falling walls.

[Dizzy socks]

Alone I wait,
For the sun to come out.
Alone i wait,
I wait without,
Friends.

And now i see it,
Crystal clear,
The Sun,
Will never appear,
Without friends.

And then,
A girl appears with a smile,
And on her mobile,
She begins to dial.

Her doting parents,
Pick up the phone,
And give her permission,
To carry me home.

And though i've lived here,
For many a day,
I shall be glad,
To let it fade away,
From my memory.

Average Life of a Pound Pet

It's cold and dark and damp and cruel.
I sit alone here with my gruel.
I've been told to wait for a home,
So that I'll never be alone,
But days go by, and more come in,
My patience withering, getting thin.
Cages stacked up to the roof.
Just look in and see the proof.
Please, somebody, take me home
With some space that I can roam.
Until that day, I sit here.
Left alone. To wait in fear.
