Pain and anger, darkness and crimson liquid. It's all black; something's tied around my head, flattening my ears, blinding my sight; a tight knot - very tight, should I say - is wound up at the back of it. I've heard the no-furs call it something back in the day ... ah, yes. A blindfold. Parties for oung children. I can't understand what I did wrong. Pain ... pain, it's unbearable. I can feel something strange trickling down my forehead. Jeering calls, pain, thumping; somtimes, like now, it's got to the point where I can't stand it anymore.

I recall the day before, bein loaded into a small cart. After the two-year-old child squeezed my tail, I turned on instict; snarled, and scratched the poor girl's arm. I didn't mean to do it, it hurt so much ... horrified shouts came from the big female. That's when everything went into pain. She kicked me; and then rang someone on her "phone". That's when I was loaded into that trailer. I remember now. Maybe it was because I scratched the two year old girl's arm? But I did that before with my other humans ... they didn't send me away, not like this.

My back legs feel like they've been crushed, and my mind's confused. I can't breathe anymore, I can't open my mouth. They've placed somethign around my nose; a muzzle, perhaps? I'm not daring to get up. I'm struggling, I can't hear or smell anything ... or feel anything. My mind's giving way, and I'm leading into blackness. Death. Nothing more for this world ... death.

Chapter 1 ~ The Planet

Panicked throughts raced through a black and dun german shepards' mind. I'm sinking! I'm sinking! He glanced down at where his paws once where; on a thick, white, brown and ginger surface. Either, he was shrinking, or the earth was swallowing him up! No, not the Earth. It was hardly recognisable, but he knew instantly from memories from his childhood.

"What's that big star up there, mama?" The german shepard recalled.
"That, Dagger, is not a star at all. That 'star' you say, is, in fact, the greatest planet of all. Name after the greatest god of all. Jupiter."

Dagger. Yes. That was his name. How could he have forgotten his own name? It was impossible to be on Jupiter, wasn't it? Another surge of panick swept through him as his head disappeared under the thick 'surface' of Jupiter. Now under the thick quilt of Jupiter's outside, he opened his maw; amazed that none of the liquid passed into his mouth. "Help, someone! Help!" He cried, at least, he tried to call. It was more of an unrecognicable gurgle. His ears twitched as he heard a reply.

"Hang on to your claws, newcommer. We are coming." It was a deep, muffled bark. His eyes widened as he managed to throw himself around, sort of like swimming, and finally, he fell into a massive clearing; with tree-like things surrounding it. A gap in the trees indicated that was the entrance and the exit.

A deep chuckle came from a large, round rock in the cennter of the clearing. "Well, welcome to our camp. I see you have come here for a reason. Why?" The voice turned serious as soon as Dagger was staring at him. It was a Great Dane; an unnaturally black one, at that. "Why?" He repeated impatiently. "Or have you lost your tongue?"
