As all good stories start, we have to begin somewhere. On this evening I recall being invited to Candace's house for the premiere of season 3 of My Little Pony, Friendship Is Magic. Candace is a dorky young girl of about 13 with shoulder length maroon hair, her excited blue eyes manage to shine through her thick glasses. She's not the tallest person I've ever met, but she's about average height. Walking in to her house the first thing I noticed was her lazy pair of cats lying on the floor, rubbing themselves on the carpet. Humph, Kitty and Kitten in their usual state of oddity. I will never understand those weird cats. But right about now I was ringing the doorbell, not gazing at her cats with a funny look on my face.
"Shut up I'm getting to it!!" I heard Candace cry as she made what I assume to be a mad dash to the door.
"Ali!" She cried, a humongous goofy grin plastered on her face.
"Candace!" I retaliated, letting out a louder yell.
My own long curly brown hair was now just long enough for me to reach around my back and snatch with one hand, with a bit of effort of course. I had always wanted long hair, so this fact excited me greatly. My hazel eyes shone with a bit more gold than usual, the bright color oddly enchanting. As usual a sinister smirk was on my face, slightly pointed teeth gleaming in the off light. I had always brought a bit of chaos to the group, lighting it with a bizarre flame of randomousity.
"See you later!" My mom called to me, driving away up the hill in her small blue car.
"Bye mom." I called, turning to Candace I questioned "Who's already here?" I caught a glimpse of Lily inside the house and dashed towards her. "Lily!" I glomped her, holding tight with a smile.
"I hate hugs," she complained with a sigh.
Lily is taller than me, her short brown hair dyed green at the ends. Her brown eyes tend to wander, and she can be a little shy. She's one of my closer friends, but then again all of the attendants here tonight would be closer to my heart than most. Lily's always hunched over a bit and she constantly carries her sketchbook around. She never let's me see it though, which I must admit, only makes me want to look at it more. Sometimes I try to sneak a glance but it never ends well.
I noticed Sandy, another girl I knew, walk up to us. Her mid length blonde hair held up in a pony tail and her bangs held back with a silver headband. Her light blue eyes shone with a sense of elegance in the room of brunettes. Sandy wears glasses too, not at thick as Candace's though. In fact, they look kind of dainty. Sandy's been notorious for hanging around Lily, in fact they've known each other for some time I think. "You should've seen Candace earlier! She was being a huge klutz!"
I released Lily from my relentless hug, "Oh really?" I snickered, approaching Candace I teasingly shoved her, accidentally bowling her over on the ground again. "That wasn't necessary," Candace scoffed with a hint of sarcasm.
"Well, I'd be nice if I were you," I walked over to my heap of unnecessary sleepover clutter, such as my blanket, my bag and my several bags of miscellaneous food items. "I brought junk food!~"
Sandy took in a deep breath and whispered, "Yay~"
We all burst into a fit of giggles. Being bronies by Candace's conversion, how could we forget the classic Fluttershy line we'd grown so fond of?
"That's awesome," Candace laughed, a smile still playing at her lips. "Now we can be on a sugar high!"
Sandy spoke up. "Maybe we'll see Discord!"
"BAHAHAHAHA"
Some flies drop, which is to say, some of us randomly fall over onto the floor, rolling around and clutching their sore stomaches from the craziness of it all. Candace started a joke seemingly forever ago that any unexplainable event was automatically the word of Discord. She's OBSESSED with him, TOTALLY OBSESSED. He's her hero, her worst enemy and also her friend. It's a very complicated relationship. As far as Discord and Shipping go Candace won't touch that with a 20 foot pole. Did your lost allowance turn up in your pocket all along? Discord. Is your pencil randomly missing? Discord. ARE YOU INSANE?! Well that's your own fault there. 'Nough said.
"Alright guys," Candace clapped her hands, all eyes found their way over to her. Some, quicker than others. "We need to take our things and put them in the basement. That is where we're sleeping. While the guests arrive, we can watch some anime."
"Ooh!" Lily raised her hand. "Let's watch Soul Eater!"
"Alright!" we all yell.
Sandy, Lily, and I sprint down the stairs while I grab the candies and pastries I brought. Oddly enough I'm not thinking about the episode that is to premiere, so much as I'm thinking about seeing my friends. I can't WAIT to see everyone else all together again. Somehow in the heat of 8th grade everyone became a bit more jaded. Seeing each other is much harder now, to say the least. So more than anything, I wanted the time to slip away like soap in a prison shower. Soon enough I rejoin the group and sit on the couch as they sing along to the theme of Soul Eater.
Tsunaida tamashii no ki ga....
~DING DONG~
"OH FOR GOODNESS SAKES! Hey guys, you can keep watching, I'll get the door." Candace roars with frustration, not wanting to be interrupted with the entry of yet another guest. Yet, I assume she was also somewhat enthused by the new arrival.
"Okay~" we sing in unison. Though the very end of the theme is just barely louder than our voices.
As Candace elephants her way upstairs we continue watching anime. We make some small talk, simply taunting each other or chanting for battle scenes. Though, we already know who will win, as we've all watched the series over and over a little too much for our own good.

{Just a rewrite of one of my friend's fanfics, Here from my perspective. I'll probably stop or rewrite, because right now they're so friggin similar. XD}
