In another Equestria – Chapter one

Long ago when Equestria was made, some strange magical force cloned all of its progress. Unfortunately this force was unchangeable. They threw the clone to the trash and forgot about it, but they didn’t realize it also made ponies into it. The ponies have been living in this new Equestria for years.

Solarstone gasped as she flew through the clouds. “Cloudmoon,” She said, her breath going.
Cloudmoon turned at the sound of his sister’s voice. “What, sister?”
Solarstone gasped once again. “Can we stop for a break or at least fly a little slower? I’m gasping for air.”
Cloudmoon frowned at his sister’s question. “Solarstone, we’re late to mother’s birthday party. We can’t fly slower or take a rest. C’mon, I’ll help you regain wing power.”
Solarstone smiled between breaths. “Thank you brother.”
Cloudmoon flew underneath Solarstone and helped her.
“There, you better now?” Cloudmoon said, sarcastically.
Solarstone grinned. “Thank you again, brother. Now, let us make way to the castle.”

Pastel Paint sighed as she sat on the grass. Skullcrusher was late.
Skullcrusher looked at Pastel Paint as she walked over. “Sorry I’m late Pastel,” She apologized. “I, uh, was watching the queen’s birthday on TV.”
Pastel Paint rolled her eyes. “I know that’s a lie,” She said. “You hate anything to do with royalty. Well, except Princess Solarstone. You seem to worship her.”
Skullcrusher growled. Which was not something easily done by a pony. “I worship her because she can fly and cast magic. She’s an alicorn for crying out loud!” She yelled, then looked at her bear back and head. “I’m an earth pony for solar’s sakes. I can’t fly or do magic.” She looked at Pastel’s horn. “You’re lucky you have at least one thing.”
Pastel Paint rolled her eyes and sighed. “I’m quite good at magic, I can cast a temporary spell that will give you wings or a horn. But never both, that’s way too powerful for me. I sometimes feel that in another dimension there is another unicorn just like me, who is great at ma…”
Skullcrusher’s eyes brightened. “Do it! Do it!” She chanted, pleading for the sky. “I want to be a Pegasus so badly!”
Pastel Paint growled under her breath about being interrupted. “Alright, fine. But with great power, comes great responsibility.”
Pastel sighed and cast her powerful sorcery on the filly.
Skullcrusher leaped with joy at her new wings. “Perfect! I love you Pastel, you are the best friend ever!” She flew off, surprisingly brilliantly. She was a natural at flying!
Pastel sighed. “I needed her to help with my book report…” She said, under her breath.

Love Heart trotted outside his house happily. He smiled at his friends one by one.
Skullcrusher flew high above, then crashed right into Love Heart.
“Aah!” Love Heart cried, and looked at Skullcrusher. She looked even more beautiful than usual. “S-Skullcrusher… You have…. Wings.”
Skullcrusher squealed with joy. “I know right! It’s amazing! Pastel cast a spell on me, she gave me temporary wings!” She squealed, and then gave Love Heart a hug.
Love Heart almost fainted. “I…think I know somepony who can make that permanent.” He said, smiling.
Skullcrusher turned around, her face filled with shock. “Who? Who?” She asked eager to find out.
Love Heart felt himself dead. He didn’t actually know. “Um, I think Pastel can find out a new spell…. Or actually, I think princess Solarstone or Princess Lunardust can do it…”
Skullcrusher sighed. “But that’s all the way to Canterlot,”
Love Heart tilted his head.
“We live in Ponyville.” Skullcrusher said.
Love heart sighed. “Well, I guess there is that.”

Raindrop was fast asleep on his cloud. Skullcrusher flew along. Raindrop’s eyes shot open. “Skullcrusher? Are you…. Flying?”
Skullcrusher smiled. “Yep… I uh… am….” She said, blushing.
Raindrop smiled. “Hey, are they permanent?”
Skullcrusher blushed again. She rubbed behind her head. “N-no… They’re temporary.”
Raindrop sighed. “What a shame… Hey, let’s go see Pastel and see if she can make them permanent.”
They flew to the ground and to Pastel.

Poptart walked slowly out of her house with a saddlebag.
Thunderstorm whisked down to her side. “Poptart! Poppy!”
Poptart was startled. “What?!”
Thunderstorm sighed. “The sleipnir has gotten loose! We need to do something, fast!”
