The badger was staring curiously around at her prey. She lumberd over to Foxstar, looked at him angrily, then smacked him on the head. Foxstar let out a yowl of shock and fell back on his haunches and launched himself at the badger. she growled and bit down on his tail. he let out a yowl of pain and flew back on the ground.

"Foxstar!" hissed Waterheart.

Waterheart snarled at the badger, and reared back, then sprung. claws outstretched.

Foxstar yowled as the badger stepped near him, and edged him closer to the mountain cliff. Waterheart clawed at the creature's eyes vainly until the badger howled. It grabbed her by the scruff and shook her around. letting out a yowl of rage, she jerked herself free. scratched the badger's nose hard as blood streamed out of it.

"Quickly! run! GO, NOW!" meowed Waterheart through gritted teeth. all the cats scrambled up the mountain rocks and lept across all the small cliffs. then they stopped... this cliff was seven fox tail lengths to far! they couldn't make it! Dustysky, Waterheart, Dirtspot, and Foxstar nipped at the badgers paws. as he made his way toward the frozen cats.

"We have to jump!" called Lionberry.

Redspirit hissed, "Yeah! we'll make it! when hedgehogs fly!" she retorted.

Lionberry yowled and lunged at her. he butts her back and sends her flying across the gorge. she lands safley on the other end. Foxkit stared at the badger, hurtling toward them. then at the cliff. it was now or never. Lionberry lifted her up gingerly and threw her across. she squeeled as she felt a tugging at her body. she wasn't springing forward... she was falling!

"Moonclan no!" she heard Redspirit yowl. Lilykit and Hollykit stared over the edge, as their sister vanished in the shadows. falling to her doom.

"No!!!! Help me!!!!" Foxkit cried.

Shadows whized past her as she plumeted to the bottom. she felt like this could go on forever! and never end... oh Moonclan. just let me die i the air! then she felt herself stop. just stop. in midair.

"Hold on... i've almost got you!" a voice mumbled.

Foxkit stared at her rescuer, he smelt of clan cat. but he didn't look familiar. and his smell was masked mostly by rouge scents. as she felt her paws touch hard ground, she slumped on her side. and blinked up at the cat, "Who are you?" she asked.

But as she looked up again, the cat was gone. odd... he didn't seem very... Moonclan like. and he had nothing else about him familiar but rouge scent. but why was this specific rouge scent familiar!? she thought.

"Foxkit!? Foxkit!?" yowled a tiny voice.

"Foxkit!!!! Foxkiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!!!!!!!!" another voice screamed.

Foxkit blinked happily, "Shut up Lilykit! i'm alive!"

Then a sudden whoosing sound came and she saw a tiny body falling straight at her. it tumbled into her, and licked her vigourasly, "H-hollykit! s-stop l-li-licking me!"

Hollykit smiled and heaved herself off, "You're alive! who saved you!? did ya see him!? huh, huh, did ya!?"

Foxkit frowned as she remembered the strange cat, "I don't know... i didn't see his face."

Then another whoosing sound collasped onto her. Lilykit. "Foxkit! oh Foxkit!! you're ok, mommy's so worried!!!!"

"Good... but... how are we gonna get back up there?"
