Has anyone ever seen/used wattpad? It's a site/app that lets you read and critique user written stuff. I'm trying to be brave enough to post a few chapters there, but no. I'm a wimp.

What if you start with them knowing each other, but as you progress in the story, include flashbacks on how each of them joined the group to form the leadership. ?

Hmmm. That's what I was thinking I would do. Are there any more suggestions for the idea before I really start it?

How's writing going for you all? How much have you written recently? Come on, talk a little about your writing =)

Well, let's see. I've written a ton last week, but most I got rid of because it wasnt really working. It took a couple days to rid it of the huge plot mess up. (I had a character who was dead when rhe story started but I wanted her to be alive and if she qere there'd be no major conflict left.)
Then I pretty much finished an origin story for my character, and I got writers block.
Grrrrrrrrr. It's so annoying. I was so happy I didn't have it but then, bam there it is. I have an idea for the next thing I'm doing though.

I have used write or die back in 2008 for NaNo ^^ It helped me TONS. Because I had to write about 14k words on the last day (didn't write for one whole week), and write or die was what helped me get through it xD

I believe wattpad is restricted, isn't it? Regarding language and content, I mean. I remember looking it up, once.
One site with restrictions is quite enough for me, to be honest xD (CS, in my case).

Well, at least you got something down ^^ I tend to delete many thousands of words for about every story I write except for some short stories.

I'm not sure about it, though. Those guidelines are so incredibly vague regarding what content is and isn't allowed, it makes me wary o,o
Why, yes, I'm paranoid.

Wattpad... I [edit: no longer, if I ever did] have an account there, I think, but I never posted any of my own writing because to tell you the truth, their terms of use contract freaked me out a bit with this part:

I do like to read all the really good stories there though. There are the occasional spelling mistakes and bad plots, but it is still very entertaining.

It isn't restricted, there are a lot of (poorly written) adult romance thingies. If you post your own stories, you can choose a rating from G to R, so pretty much everything. I read a lot of horror on Wattpad, there are some amazing authors. Some stories have even been published and put into print. But, anyways, you can write any ^_^

You got it! That scared me a bit too. I think what they mean is that when you agree to it, it means that anyone with an account/app can read the story, you can't restrict it from anybody.
The spelling mistakes irk me, but there are a lot of well-written stories as well.

I'm downloading Wattpad right now ^^ I'm going to see if it really fits me, I doubt I will post anything up there but getting inspiration from the stories and giving my opinion secretly in my head lol

In reply to Lovely Dreamer: It made me very paranoid, because it seems as if they are saying that they have the right to place your story anywhere, even offsite. That isn't exactly causing my little "at ease" kittens to sleep well. ^^;

I took a look at Write or Die, and it looked awesome, though I will probably only be using the free version. x3 I'm working on an Alice in Wonderland fan fiction at the moment, I'm only on chapter one.
