I awoke with a start. My feet were about an inch in sand, and salty sea water rose up and down my ankles. The air around me was humid, thick, and warm. The sun-bleached sand was almost too much to bear, and the obnoxious shrieks of seagulls filled my ears. Suddenly, in the distance, a beautiful white stallion galloped in the distance. Cries of pain and despair filled the air. I tried to run after him, but I got nowhere, and the horse galloped farther away.
