Prolog
Her pelt glimmered in the moon light, blood dripped in a simple trail in the now reded snow. The pure white wolf yelped as sharp teeth gripped her sodden neck. The white wolf was now sprikled with red spots, she kicked at the brutes stomach, he backed off. "Give it up, Crystal" the brute snarled. "I will love you, no matter what!" she spat back. The brute lunged for her neck once more, but Crystal flinched and ran as fast as her blood drained body could. She herd him howl, more will come and finish her off. The white wolf looked both ways, no one was watching she slid into an ice cave. Once in she laid down in the snow, it was already warmer inside the cave with out the wind buffeting her fur. There was a large snap, the cave collapsed over head. It covered the sky spirit from view, to become a mission never completed.
Chapter 1
Iris
"C'on, c'on, c'on!" Iris whined. Her mother gave her a disaproving look, she was only a pup and her paws were dreary. While she looked at the ground, pouting she felt a gentle, warm muzzle nudge her. "You father can carry you" he mother murmured softly in her daughters ear. Iris smiled and tried to dodge the big paws of the brutes and the lumbering paws of the in-labor females. It was mating season almost every full grown wolf was pregnant, her mother was, too. Then she would be a big sister in a year or two. It used to be different, they only stayed in one place for a long, very, long time. But since the wolf of legend never returned, saying there was nothing coming after us about millions of years ago we migrate at least fifty miles a week. It was exciting, her paws hurt a lot though and many wolves died. But, it was better than being attacked by the night spirits.
Your spirit differs on how you act, or who you are with. If you are a night spirit, you are evil and devious in everyway. You live in the Nightpack, but some exist in Skypack undercover killing when wanted. Sky spirits are angels from above, but living. They are in Skypack and don't put spies in Nightpack, it only brings death and more fighting. Skypack doesn't like to fight, they like to talk it out. But Nightpack likes to be bloody in everyway, they torture there young to go through the same experience as they did and there ancestors did.
Iris trotted to her fathers side lagging lightly because of her short legs. "Daddy?" she asked huffing slightly at the pace he was going. All she wanted to do was grow up, no one else seem to have a problem walking at her fathers pace. Once her father looked down at her, she knew something was wrong. He usually clear blue eyes were clouded with worry. "Whats wrong?" she whispered. Her father turned away before saying anything. Iris sighed, no body informed her on anything around here. Daddy?" she whined, "My paws are hurting again" she murmured. "Don't think about them and they will be fine" he responded not looking back. She huffed and paused, letting the brutes pass her and giving glares to the ones that stepped on her. She was in the back, with the females in labor guarded by the young brutes and females who didn't have mates. She thought about being one of them, her paws not hurting and no whining with time to find your love. Her mother smiled, "What did Hachi say?" she asked. Iris pouted, her mother took that as an answer that he said no. So, her mother asked one of the guards to carry her, her paws stopped aching once they were lifted off the ground.
Chapter 2
Thunder
He whimpered as his mother nipped at his legs, but didn't say anything. "You need to be strong, and bloody" she snarls in his face once he fliched she pinned her saw to the ground, claws unshealthed. "That hurts" he whimpered quietly but it came out more like a squeak. He herd his fathers cackle as he emerged from his den. Thunder hoped his father would say something like 'He needs to have blood to fight' or 'He can't be hurt and not kill him self' but he said nothing. Thunder looks up at his mother with pleading eyes, she let go scrapping her claws on his stomach. He held in a cry of pain and laid down on some cob webs to stop some of the bleeding. He flinches when his fahter throws him a bone and it hits his head. This was all he got, a bone no meant. Bolt, his father, growled when he played with it. "It's food, not a toy!" Thunder tucked his tail slightly, but let it curl around him to not look to scared.
