Wishes and Luck

Blow the eyelash off your thumb,
Down into the wishing well,
Among the pennies laying heads up,
That lead toward the end of the rainbow,
At the pot of gold,
Beside the mossy green where leprechauns dance,
Where ladybugs live upon four leafed clovers,
And dandelion seeds drift effortlessly through the air,
Where up above, the shooting star whooshes across the starry nighttime sky,
Then down below and at your feet horseshoes lay,
And overhead dream catchers dangle from sprouts of bamboo,
That only grow in groups of three,
And all around you, bunnies hop about on their lucky feet,
Now you can’t help but cross your fingers,
Because you know that this is the place where dreams come true.
