Never
Ideals of the past can't live for eternity

With stolen glimpses of the world's true form

Values tend to fade away

The truths of life overshadow what is considered right

And the human soul can't go unscathed

Its essence lost and replaced with what the world created it to be

The truths that you so longed to know were perhaps best left in the shadows

In the edges of our consciousness where we can barely brush against them

To prevent the corruption of the human soul by the secret knowledge the world knows

The secrets which were meant to stay hidden

Never to be seen

Never to be known

Never to be shared

Never

I like this poem a lot! I love it when people put their emotions into their work. You did this by writing about something that you did in the past, maybe something bad that you now regret, and then, in the future, you can do nothing about it.
