Chapter Fourteen:
Badgerstar yawned. He leaped onto one of the large branches of the tree, and the Gathering started. Everything quieted down. But then Badgerstar froze-Littlestar was not here.
"Where is Littlestar? RiverClan is not here with him..." Badgerstar asked. Screamstar, leader of WindClan, shrugged. "We'll have to start without them..." He said, his voice chillingly cold. Badgerstar shivered, and just nodded.
He looked down at WindClan. It was a tangle dark grey and black cats-No other colors. Badgerstar shook his head solemnly, and listened to Screamstar as he reported what was happening.
"We will not see RiverClan for a while..." He started, his voice still harsh, icy, and cold. "WindClan has driven them far, far into the heart of their territory!" He shouted, and the WindClan warriors cheered. "But with great victory comes great sadness...Thornfrost, Duskflame, Nightwatcher, Mosseyes, Wanderinggaze, Scorchpelt, Stormnight, and Roaringstorm of WindClan have died." He said, with fake grief.
Badgerstar's eyes flashed with anger. That was clearly not real grief. He had not cared his warriors had died bravely for his Clan-Which was going against the Warrior Code! "I'd like to speak next..." He said, taking a step up.
Just as he was about to speak, three ShadowClan cats and a RiverClan apprentice ran in. Badgerstar recognized Tatteredpelt, the muscular, matted, dark tom, and then there was also the two pale, light brown tabby she-cats-Palewhisker and Whisperingfur. As for the little brown apprentice, he was a medicine cat apprentice named Dustpaw.
"We need your help! WindClan is training with the Dark Forest! They are the ones killing out the cats!" Whisperingfur yowled.
