Chapter 1 Prologue

Nobody was outside in the village of Bersea. When I say nobody I mean to say that no actual, normal person. Because if I meant that I would be lying. If you wish to read on then you must understand the differance. Don't expect me to help. In that village there was a being. Beings are not people, beings are living things. That being was standing by the frozen fountain that arched into the air in an ellogant way. Of course the being had no reason to care or even notice this feature. He was waiting, impatiently as well.
The being had brown hair, green eyes. Normal clothes. In fact, you would have thought he was just a normal young man standing near a fountain in the middle of a snow-lodged village. If you do think that though, you are wrong. He paced the around the fountain five times exactly before something happened. Another man, this time with black hair and a hood covering his eyes walked towards him from a side street.
"Knot, it's about time you got her. It's been what? Twelve hours?" The first man glared at "Knot".
"Well. Nice to see you too Claude. I've been on a long and stupid mission and it took longer, than I expected." Knot replied. Claude sighed.
"It's not pointless! Wilson said-"
"Wilson is stupid and pointless as well! Get a grip. He can't even manage a school let alone a mission." Knot cut Claude off.
"I understand it! I don't even know why your brother was forced into those tunnels!" Claude argued.
"Oh please. I don't even blame Wilson for that. Blame my cowardly mother." Knot mumbled. Then he stepped away.
"I'm going now. I only came to tell you that it was successful." Claude nodded.
"See you." Knot only heard a murmur of this because he was already half way down the street. The winter wind blew back his hood. Which revealed one blue eye and one green eye, no pupils and they were both glowing.

Chapter 2 ~ Lidia

I walked towards the huge doors of my new selective school. As my parents put it. I think it's just a normal school. There are loads of dumb people. Like that kid I saw failing at a wordsearch. He couldn't find the word Orange which was right across the top. The only reason I'm coming here is because my best friend, Luna is going. I was asked to go too of course, but I wasn't actually even thinking of it. I was planning to go to the nearest high school. But Luna had said.
"Oh come on Lidia! It'll be so fun! And look! You're one of the smartest people I know and there's loads of really good teachers, blah blah blah blah."
My brother, Percy was coming. He has a heavy northern accent. The kind you get after being in the North for too long, in which case, living with my dad. So now it's this. Us three walking up the gravel drive to a massive and stupidly displayed school (Big banners everywhere.) With stupid people surrounding us it didn't seem so selective at all.
"Well. Looks big." Percy mumbled.
"Big? More like stupid." I replied tartly. Luna shoved me.
"Enjoy yourself Lidia! Have fun, boarding school is awesome!" Always the nice reminder is Luna, always reminding me of things I'd rather not think of. Like the fact I have to live in this dump of rubble for a whole five years. Only coming home in holidays. Not after school. Luna has curly blonde hair, blue eyes and small glasses at the end of her nose. My brother has mouse hair with amberish yellow eyes. Don't ask me how I got my hair colour from a mouse father and a ginger mother, but I have brown hair, probably a mix of the two. It's short with grey eyes to match.
As we neared the big doors I turned around.
"I can't beleive this! I wish I was back home." I muttered. Luna grabbed my arm.
"Shut up! We'll all have fun. Right Percy?" She turned to my usually quiet brother.
"Yeah. Come on Lidia, your such a spoil sport." He laughed. So I was forcfully dragged to the most dumb and lying school I've ever seen.

Chapter 3 ~Luna

I dragged Lidia up the steps to the wooden door. It creaked as I opened it.
"Old isn't it? Must be at least from 1945." A small girl said from behind me.
"Yeah. How did you estimate that?" I asked. The girl had glowing ginger hair and freckles all over her cheeks.
"I love Historical stuff. I'm used to estimating old doors and such. My name's Sarah by the way." She smiled. Lidia turned around to look at her. Percy seemed not to notice as he stared up at the school.
"I'm Luna, this is Lidia." I said, gesturing to Lidia. "This is Percy." I glanced at Percy. Sarah laughed.
"You must be going into year seven as well. I see you have the uniform."
"Doesn't all the school have this uniform?" I asked. We were all wearing dark blue skirts. (Apart from Percy who had dark blue trousers.) White shirts and light blue ties, as well as a dark blue blazer.
"No. The older ones, such as years nine up to eleven, all wear a jumper and not a blazer." Sarah answered lightly. I nodded.
"Okay then. Do you want to come with us? Into the school?" I asked.
"No. Sorry, I'm waiting for my friend." Sarah said apoligetically. I walked towards the open doors. Lidia and Percy beside me. We each looked at eachother and then stepped in.
The corridor was massive. A huge staircase led to the Library like an old castle. Deep red carpets were resting on the floor like a deep blood ocean. Candles were blazing in huge numbers and a variety of sizes. Another huge door led to a dining room. I guessed another huge mass of stairs led to the sleeping chambers.

Chapter 4 ~Percy

As I looked around, Luna gasped. I whipped around quickly. A man with a leather jacket and all those other clothes you would find on the cast of Grease. As well as the hair to match. He was walking straight to us.
"Hi kids. I'm principal Wilson. I'm in charge here." His voice was awkward. As if he was afraid of us.
"Don't get up to trouble here. Off to the dining hall. It's over there." He gestured needlessly to the door. We nodded and quickly departed.
"Weird man-" Lidia mumbled, but shut up when we walked into the dining room. Loads of year sevens were in it's midst but they looked like a couple of stars in a massive sky. The other years were coming back tomorrow. We year sevens were obviously stupid and needed a day to ourselves to get around the place. Luna went ahead.
"Come on! Hurry up!" She chided. Lidia shot off in a split secound, her shoes clicking on the stone floor. I was slower, I took in everything. Seeing the wooden benches that stretched up to the steps that led to where the teachers ate, they ate through a door in a room. Of course not with the pupils how vulgar would they find it to will a smidge of their time to be near children when they could eat in their cosy little room. I plonked myself down next to Luna. Making sure Lidia was on the other side of Luna so she couldn't annoy me as much. The man swaggered into the room. I mean the principal walked into the room in an ellogant manner. (Note the sarcasm in most of my thoughts). He walked up the stairs and addressed us.
"Lunch is on in a minute. Then you can explore the school! Have fun!" Fun must have been the last thing Wilson would want us to have.
Lunch was just stupied stew with hard peices of bread. It tasted wonderful. Not. It was awful. But I was silent. Lidia was moaning on and on about how stupid the school was while Luna tried to change her ever so small mind. Sarah and her friend showed up. Her friend was a tall girl, ginger hair like Sarah's and it looked like she had anger issues. What kind of friends do people need? I was silent all through that awkward meeting.
I like silent. It's better than noisey.

Chapter 5~ Lidia

Luna shot up the minute after Percy put his fork down.
"Right! Let's go explore!" She cried. I glared at her.
"Sounds fun."
"Too right it does." Percy muttered sarcastically.
So we all explored. We came across Sarah and her friend on the way. But Luna was the only one who bothered to say "hi". It was ages until we finally got to a dead end.
"Weird! Don't schools normally have loads of doors. Not just dead ends." Luna asked. Percy walked to an old sheet covering something. He lifted it up carefully, then let of a gasp.
"Look! A switch!" He yelped. He was pointing to a dusty old, but very big switch. Built in right on the floor. I walked over to it.
"Weird. Well go on, flip it. Flip the switch." I said. He looked at me.
"What do you think will happen?" He asked.
"Flip it and find out." Luna said. Smiling her, "do it now" smile. So Percy reached out and turned it, slowly. And once he had finally reached the end, the floor vanished beneath my feet, and I heard Luna's scream as we fell down into the unknown.
