Prologue
Yin padded along the rubble, she glanced at her dusty paws then around at the destruction. Yin hung her head, the world had began to destroy itself. Earthquakes, then tsunamis, hurricanes, more natural disasters hit one after another. The cities destroyed or flooded. People began to turn on friends, family and lovers. Yin saw her mother slaughter her sister with her own paws. Her mother ripped at her sister's fur.
"Why is the world destroying us?" Those were the last words her sister wept after her mother was killed by her father. Yin was the only one left of her family, who else had survived the danger the world was throwing at them, they all had no choice but to hit it head on. Yin looked toward the remains of a tall 'earthquake proof' building. Yin let a tear slide, her friend had been in that building, she waved from the window right before the first earthquake. Yin felt a strange hollowness grow in her stomach.
"Anyone out there?" She called out, her voice strong and smooth, she strained her ears, trying to pick up a reply. None came. Yin felt like curling up, burying herself in an early grave to escape the eye sore sight she once called home. Everyone was dying and everyone was turning she felt her heart ache for her sister, mother and father, Yin couldn't stop the flow of tears as she thought of the pain and hurt they suffered, "Why did I survive?" Yin questioned the air, staring up into the blue sky, for a moment she wished she had wings, to fly above the faded earth, she felt so scared, now the earth was worn.
