chapter 1: howling madness


here I am lying on the grass looking at the night sky and its little friends the stars.
the stars were twinkling in the night sky as usual. I closed my eyes. I felt weak, sinking into the soft grass.
and as I deeply sighed I fell asleep...
I dreamt I was with my mum... shopping. "So, I found these pants for you" mum said holding a giant pair of jeans. "Hey mum are you blind or what? those jeans will never fit me" I said, then a black hole automatically popped into the shopping centre, oh yeah, what a dream, what a dream, dream dream. But everyone didn't notice the black hole but me! I just realised that I was going closer to the black hole, maybe if I acted like I didn't notice it I wouldn't get sucked in... Oh, wait I can't control my dreams! So I got sucked in and this is so weird that I ended up in a better world with a golden retriever and a husky in front of me both head to the side.

I woke up annoyed with such a great dream,then that's when I thought of the idea.
I will get my own dog... Oh I forgot mums allergic to dogs, ever since she was 7 she always wanted a dog when one day her dads friend came over with the dog and she had rash's all over her and sneezed lots, so that's when she found out. So I can get all the rest but not the dog.

So I rushed to mum across the kitchen, then I saw the clock, 12:35 p.m. uh oh. I better go to bed, before mum kills me (in trouble, I mean). as I tip toed across the dark hallway (always dark, only one light) and into my bedroom, got out my laptop and typed huskies. Then a cute picture came up of a husky pup and the website name/info. then I typed in golden retriever and a cute picture and mainly the same website as the other one.


In the morning I found myself on the floor on a website with husky/golden retriever pictures/info. luckily it was Saturday I could put on the snooze button on dreaming about dogs.

I have been having those two dogs dreams for about 2 weeks now I am literary getting mad, guess what? I have been making dog noises everyday, I howl/yap/bark and today I growled at my big brother. Now everyone thinks I am a lunatic.

So today mums decided to take me to the doctors, uh-oh. But the best thing to do is to tell the truth, that I want those two dogs so badly!


so I set off to mums bedroom and told her the whole story, "certainly not are you aloud dogs in my house, I am sorry, I still love dogs but I am allergic to them" she answered. then an idea popped into my head " why not uncle Harry can look after them? i can walk to his house and back. and its a good chance for me to get my pocket money back in business because you stopped giving me money if I did a chore, and I have good responsibility now!" I said while watching mum do her thinking face, "OK" she sighed and went back to sleep.

that is just the start of getting a dream dog for me!

Ok I am now at the pet shop," achoo, oh no. honey please choose one my allergies has just started" mum had said while sneezing her way out and sat down on the bench outside. "Mum, my two dream dogs aren't here" I explained to her near the front door so she can hear me while I was pointing to the dogs there. "you want two? And you have particular one!" she gasped.
when ever she does that I never get it, it happens all the time, it started when I was 6 years old and I wanted two dolls but mum thought I wanted one. so when we went to the cashier I told her I wanted two and the ones with yellow dresses. She was mad with me that I didn't get either.
mum walked back inside and took my arm and said "if weren't getting a dog then why are we here?'
I thought for a moment, struggling to say the right thing so I said "Oh we are here cause... I-I wanted a leash, and other... Stuff dogs need before we get one" "Okay then lets buy a leash, food/drink bowl/collar with what you would like its name to be called ... Which I can order" mum agreed
So we got them all expect for the collar I was going to order or whatever you do with it and when I get the two dogs I will put the name on both of them!

got everything I need for a dog just need a dog... I mean two dogs!
I walked to my uncles house which he lives 5 blocks down from our house, so we usually go over there for lunch on a Thursday. "dogs... All I want is two dogs to-day it making happy" I sang down the street twirling like a ballerina and sooner or later I found myself

-at my uncles big house, as I walked to the front door and knocked-KNOCK KNOCK!. " As you can see I am... Well you can't see me-" he started "its just me, A-L-E-X! as you know mum called you and all about it" I interrupted. he opened to door and gave me a warm welcoming, " I already have 4 dogs" he said, he was rather wealthy but wasn't selfish. "umm.. This is for you, its about your dream dogs. Well I don't know who would do that? send a mail to me and its for you about your dogs, I mean..." he said while handing the note to me and just went on with the thing he was talking about before.

So when I was going home I read the notice it said:

DEAR ALEX,
I am your mind.
I am you.
I am your soul.
anyway I have sent this mail to tell you that I made that dream, so you could save the two dogs you love and want, this is like a game with clues to get to the prize

go to this clue to get the next!
Clue 1:
I am a place where you never go a place where you are scared, your fear is.


that was strange but I should do this, Okay my fear... umm oh yeah, the trains station, I am scared of trains. I should keep the notes with me, I better do it tomorrow its getting late

I am so excited, but the first clue is my fear, at least I can conquer my fear!

So after school I get ready for the hunt, but then my best friend , was there. "Hi, how are you?.. I mean woof woof woof woof woof" she laughed, "Hey I was just..." I started, struggling to say the right words. "...uh acting, yes acting, oh acting" I said changing my voice deep to high. "Oh yeah, I thought you didn't act" she argued, "well, I always have you just need to know me more' I said back. she walked back home, luckily. I searched everywhere but no note.
"ah, there it is!" I said turning around and ran to the railway fence.
"oh no, I am not aloud to go there, but this is worth a try " I said trying to climb the fence.
I probably will get in trouble, I thought, better go quick before someone comes or the train..
I jumped down on the other side and saw the not on the rail track, and quickly got the note and jumped over the fence, and ran back home before the train went past.
that is the start of getting special dogs!
