Just A Short Piece of my Writing...Please Comment If Good!!!

(So I write stories with my friends, and this piece is from a Fantasy story we have. In the story, some special horses are Pegasus or Unicorn...some are even a combination of the two. These magical horses live in a land called the Hidden Valley. These horses also have different powers (Light, Fire, Earth, Air, Water, Color, Ice, and Dark) depending on their family line. This is a romance between a stallion named Blank Canvas and a mare my friend made up named Osage. Demon, an evil stallion has just struck her and almost killed her. And this is what I wrote about Blank Canvas coming inside her cave to check on her, and he's trying to express his feelings for her. Enjoy!!!! And comment if you like it.)

"Osage...you're alive." Blank Canvas whispered breathlessly. The mare lie on the cave grounds, appearing slightly dizzy. But she noticed her eyes had locked on his. He took in a soft breath, and let it out. "Oh Osage." He started into her eyes.

"You don't know how nervous I was about you." He started shakily. I was trying to keep an eye out for anything going on in the battle so I c-could help...anyone w-who needed my...um...my help..." Blank Canvas barely managed to continue, his stomach was so tied up in knots. "And I tried not to worry about you...but it proved too difficult. I had to make sure you weren't dead. Demon...he...he s-struck you pretty h-hard...and...I..."

"Oh Blank Canvas..." Osage shook her head. "It's okay. You don't have to say anything...I understand what you're trying to tell me...and...thank you. At first...I was worried too...that I might have..." She choked up slightly, and then continued. "...been dying...but anyway...I'm still weak, but I can see now. At first, I was blinded...and now I'm kind of refocusing my vision..." She trailed off when Blank Canvas came closer.

"Can you see me now?" He questioned.

"Well...kind of. I can see the different colors...in your eyes..." Osage said, her voice barely audible she spoke so quietly. But her tone was dreamy, and Blank Canvas wasn't going to miss anything the mare said.

Blank Canvas' eyes constantly changed color, which was due to his Color powers. They seemed to have settled in his eyes. Whenever he felt romantic, he could sense them turning a bright purple or pink...either that or a mix of the two. That's what he sensed right now as he inched closer to Osage. But he asked her anyway.

"What color are they?"

"Purple...Pink...maybe. Love. That's the only way I can really describe the color." Osage explained simply. Blank Canvas walked closer to her until he finally rested beside her. "Can you see me better now?" He asked the mare. Osage felt warm with Blank Canvas so close. If the colors in his eyes meant that he was feeling romantic, Osage felt the same way. This stallion was one of the only ones who thought of her as more than just a medicine mare. And she saw him as more than just another stallion. He was an artist. He was caring. She felt sparks just sitting there with him.

She almost forgot his original question. "Yes, I can." Osage replied with a warm smile. She rested her head near his, closing her eyes and taking in the moment.

That was it. Blank Canvas need to be hers. As if the stallion could read Osage's thoughts, he turned to her.

It looked like he was pondering something, which he was. Blank Canvas' heart jumped inside his chest. He had never been so nervous. His stomach was still turning, if not more than before. But it was a good kind of nervousness, and he felt as if he would be able to make what he said clear and understandable. Sure, it might sound off topic at first. But I feel like my heart's in the right place. This is the time. And I don't care if it might not make sense to others. It'll make sense to Osage, and to me. To us.

"Osage...I love you." Blank Canvas finally said.
