Cedar Point

[SilverDeath]

I listened to the sound of the car engine as I stared out the window looking at Cedar Point. We had been driving for almost eight hours, but I had slept most of the way. Lake Erie glinted beside us as the sunlight beamed down on it. Today, I was going to ride the worlds second tallest, third fastest roller coaster. It was called “Top Thrill Dragster.”
After getting inside the park, my dad and I went straight to the Dragster for the biggest thrill ride of our lives. Lucki8ily the line was short, so we didn't have to wait for long. The four 450 foot tall behemoth coaster loomed above us, chilling the air with the thrills that radiated off of its tracks.
We got a front row seat soon after our short walk in line. I sat down beside my dad, apprenhension building inside my chest. The locking bar came down, securing me in place. Small beams on the side of the track lowered themselves, preparing for the launch. A little green light to the right of us started blinking and then turned solid. Then another light did the same thing below the first.
Then WHOOSH! The lights turned red and the train shot off, picking up over 125 mph iin under 4 seconds! The cars flew down the track, going faster than I'd ever been before. We raced up the straight slope and reached the top. The view around me was incredible. Then we began racing down the decent, headed straight into a twisted corkscrew. The next thing I knew we were done with the ride. My heart was racing uncontrollably. The Top Thrill Dragster had been the most exhilirating thing I had ever done.
Throughout the rest of the day we rode the other coasters. I oved every one of them. When we finally left Cedar Point a few days later, sadness overwhelmed me. But I knew we would come back. And I couldn't wait for it.
