♦Raini's Diary♦:I lived through China's Revolutionary War

Postby cosmic girls » Thu Feb 09, 2012 6:30 pm

Dear Readers,
This is based off of China's Revolutionary War. It actually did not happen long ago, but maybe in somewhere in the 1900's. Sad times they were, people beat up for being born in a "black family" class. Having stamps or even a normal bike wasn't aloud. The people born into a "red family" class were well respected and treated well. Imagin what the young children went through. "Fourolds" were meant to be things of the past like well anything. Words that meant wealthy or money, were taken down and burned. The stores were renamed to something that didn't mean money or wealthy. This is the diary of a character I made to show the real feelings someone went through. I hope you enjoy...Raini's Diary.

Sincerely, .::Lunar~Eclipse::.

Chapter 1: The Beginning of a New Life

School was starting again and well I am happy! I got to see my friend Chang Ji-Li and we were catching up on a lot of things. This was 6th grade and meant soon junior high would be rolling in! Our new teacher, Ms. Luang, is very nice and helps me a lot. I am a model student and proud of it. When my classmates need help on math or history I am there to help at any way. You are wondering who I am, and well my name is Raini Wein. A young 11 year old girl with a brother named Xen-Wen. Umm...what else...oh, yes! I have my mom and dad who work to keep me and my brother healthy and happy. And also I have my grandma and she is the sweetest person ever! This is my happy life...soon all would change by the flash of a lighting bolt.

It was an early December school day and their was a new thing going around called the Revolutionary stuff... I was obviously with it and wanted the fourolds to leave to bring fresh and new things to China. My friend Chang, was smiling at me. She was too with this stuff we yet didn't know about. When our teacher entered class, she looked well sad, but said, "We will have visitors today to recruit Red Successors." I was extra happy to hear this! Ms. Luang didn't really... After about an hour these two people, a girl and a boy came in. They were both wearing white clothing with a red hankerchief. The girl talked,"Hello. I am a Red Guard and will choose who will be recruited to our army." Then the boy talked,"May we have Lee Zeng and Raini Weng?" I got up and looked at Lee. We wondered what would happen.

They took us to the gym. Their was a many things like well I don't know how to explain really. "Do a high kick." the girl commanded to me and Lee. "Good...good," and later we did other things and then the boy said, "You may go back to class and thanks for auditioning." Hmm...I wonder if I was chosen to be a Red Successor. My heart was beating with such delight.

(( sorry umm...well here is link to the info of the war in china long ago. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_Civil_War ))

Chapter 2: Morning Sorrow

It has been a month since those Red Guards came. Me and Chang were very excited to see the girl and boy with their bright scarfs dangling from their necks. My brother, well was late to school again and my mom got very intensly mad. Well school was over for the day and me and Chang were walking home with my brother when we heard yelling. Uh oh! Another mob by the Golden Hearted Market. We all ran as fast as we could to see... What we say was people, that were burning the sign down. On the floor lay Mr. Lye, crying and hurt. I went to help him up, but that mob wouldn't let me. "Today that black classes family of yours Lye, will be gone!" said a man in the mob. "Nooooooo this costed me money! Took me years to get! Please don't ruin it...." cryed Mr. Lye. Chang tugged so we could go. Xen-Wen, my brother got over excited.

When I got home, my grandma looked frightened. Too frightened to even say hello to us. My mom came early that day with dad following an hour later. We went to sleep early, which wasn't very fair. I was used to sleeping at 9 not 8:30 like my brother. But I didn't fuss and went to sleep. I dreamt I was a Red Successor even a Red Guard. I sighed and fell asleep deeply.
