The Diary of the Not-So-Perfect Daughter
By BritsNadia
I was born into a well off family in South Africa. My mother helps and teaches people to run Pharamasutical tenders for the country and my father is the owner and head of a building company. My mother is a hard and strict women and can sometimes be down right rude. She is smart and always stands up for herself and allows no one to defy her. We fight often and dad says its because we are so much alike. My dad isnt strict at all but is really reserved. In truth I don't really know my father, even though I have been close to him my whole life.
I have one younger brother. His name is Quinton and he is three years younger than me. We don't get along at all. He whines a lot and acts like a complete child. Even thorough all this, he is still my little brother and I will always be protective of him. He doesn't have any friends and he isn't that bright either.
Me? Well. I am meant to be the perfect daughter. The first born and the smarter one. From a young age my family started pushing me. Grades have to be high, I must flourish in my two instruments and I must be seen and never heard. In short, I am meant to be a lot of things that I am not. This is my story...
