I am bored. I have a decent amount of time. I like to write. Welcome to the home of my imagination.

I’ve had the same pen for five months. It’s not a very nice pen, just one out of twenty from some pack at Wal-Mart. It’s not special really, just a decent writing utensil. The ink stays black and doesn’t smudge (unless I do so with my thumb) and it does fit in my hand rather nicely. It has a little crack running up one side, starting from the tip, which I had to bend to replace the ink. The current tip’s got a little smudge of ink on it, where it dried when I was taking it apart and reassembling it one day. It smells just a bit like vinegar after some science experiment from a week or so ago. It’s still got a bit of whatever mixture we had been stirring that day stuck inside, where it turns to little bubbles and drops. I think it’s quite like a little ecosystem, with the rain and whatnot.

It’s a good pen.

I like running. Only sometimes, though. Sometimes I’m too lazy or I’m tired or it’s raining and what if I slipped? or it’s cold and I might freeze to death and fall in a ditch or I’m having a really good bowl of ramen noodles and I certainly can’t run on a full stomach or on the other hand maybe I really should go have some ramen noodles because I could never run on a an empty stomach because what if I passed out from hunger?

I have a lot of excuses for not running.
