I don't even know what to say. I probably should have trusted my people-reading abilities and denied Autumn's "help." Now I'm back here in the institute, except now I'm in a prison inside a prison: solitary confinement.
It's dark and cold here, and the entire place seems to be made of metal and concrete. A small window opens up in my cell's metal door where the guards shove food trays in three times a day. At least I'm getting food; if I can even call this revolting crap food. And at night, I can hear the screams and tortured cries of those who've already lost their minds from being holed up down here for so long.
Lotus and Donny.... were they alright? Did Don go home? I hope so... I don't think I'd be able to bear hearing news that my brother's dead.... Ah well... nothing I can do about anything now...

I awoke to the sound of the trapdoor opening. A narrow beam of light shone through it, making my eyes hurt as I turned to it. I hauled myself out of the corner and staggered awkwardly to the door.
"Vega," said the guard outside. I assumed it was one of the guards from last night, judging by the hint of malice in his voice. "There's someone here waiting to see you."
And then without warning, the door swung open with a loud creak. I shielded my eyes from the light that now overwhelmed my dark cell.
"You can uncover your eyes now, Vega," a familiar voice said.
I slowly turned my head, and who I saw was the last dog I thought I'd see in a mental institute.
"Isadora?"
