Part 1
"Pandora! Did you steal my brush again?"
"Uh, nope." Pandora meowed suspiciously.
"Then where is it?! Ugh, I don't have time anyways. Come one, we have to go." Angel dashed away.
"Wait up!" Pandora followed her sister out the door, "You'll look fine no matter what, everyone know that."
Angel cuffed her sister over the head. "That's not true. I'm no different than any other cat, or dog, or any animal. When I have a bad fur day, I have a bad fur day."
"Yes, but yours is not as bad as others." Pandora ran off before Angel could argue further.

As she walked into the door of 'Paws' Pets High School', Angel was greeted by her friends. "Hey, Coral, Kit Kat!" She meowed.
"Hi Angel."
"Hey! So...."
"So what?" Angel asked Coral, puzzled.
"Well, it's almost valentines day...."
"And?"
"You don't have a valentine yet?" Coral was shocked.
Angel thought of the pile of valentine cards in her locker. Sure, she'd gotten cards. But no one had asked her to be their valentine yet. "No."
"But, The dance is in a week! And Valentines Day is the day after!"
"So. I don't really care, Coral."
"I don't understand," said Kit Kat, joining in the conversation. "Every male cat in this school would love to be your valentine. I guess none of them have the guts to ask?"
"You two are crazy. It doesn't matter. So, I'm pretty. So what? I don't really want a valentine anyways." Angel walked away, irritated. First Pandora, now her friends. What was wrong with them all.
~
She walked into history class right before the bell rang. As she quickly took her seat, she noticed another card on her table. It was a perfect red heart with beautiful handwriting inside.
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
No cat is more lovelier than you."
Sighing she put it in her bag. She had 5 more just like it. Obviously bought from a cheap store. She was sick of it. Why couldn't anyone just like her for her, not her looks. Why not just talk to her? Instead of sending cheap anonymous letters.
"Angel, are you paying attention?" Barked Mr.Badger.
"Oh, yes sir." Angel blushed, and opened her text book.
The lesson continued slowly, until there came a knock at the door. Startled, Mr Badger went to the door. A handsome young dog walked in. He was a soft brown with darker stripes. He was muscular, most likely a football guy. His eyes were an intriguing green, and he carried an atmosphere of something Angel could not explain.
"Sorry to interrupt, Mr...uh, Badger?"
"Yes, that's me. What is it?"
"I'm new, I just got here. It says on my schedule I have your class right now." He quickly gave the sheet of paper to the frowning teacher.
"Oh, I believe so. Fine, you can go sit next to Angel."
Everybody in the room turned to look at Angel. She froze, but quickly recovered. Blushing she managed to say strongly, "Hello. There is a seat right here," patting the seat next to her with her paw.
The dog swiftly took his seat and gazed at her. "Thanks, uh..Angel?"
Angel nodded, "And you are?"
"Evan."
