Name lists. Oh man these are so fun!
Jade- Its a rock.
Jasmine- Its a flower
Yeah, not too much imagination there
Lily- A flower, symbol of purity
Ehhh not really her.
Lionel- Young lion
*Distant giggles tell you all you need to know*
Avery- Wisdom.
Not too bad for a scribe eagle
Adrian- Water
Has no connection to him whatsoever
Freeta- Apparently has something to do with the Japanese word for people who don't want to work
Achran. Apparently this name does not exist, despite the fact I found it on a baby naming site.

I usually go onto Nameberry for names, or steal a name from someone I know (because omg Morgana is amazing) so most of my names have good meanings. By the way, I've started writing a thing. Please go over to WH and take a look, I'd love some critique!

@sparrow I like it! I'll be following it
Umm... so yeah I mostly just copied stuff from http://www.behindthename.com so it's less "meaning" and more "history".
Spencer Conchobhar Cassidy (Conchobhar is apparently pronounced Connor). Spencer is from a surname which meant "dispenser of provisions" in Middle English. A famous bearer was American actor Spencer Tracy (1900-1967). It was also the surname of Princess Diana (1961-1997). Conchobhar is original Irish form of CONOR. Cassidy is from Irish Ó Caiside meaning "descendant of Caiside". Caiside is a given name meaning "curly haired".
Tobias Forde. Tobias is the Greek form of TOBIAH. This is the name of the hero of the apocryphal Book of Tobit in many English versions of the Old Testament. It relates how Tobias, with the help of the archangel Raphael, is able to drive away a demon who has been plaguing Sarah, who subsequently becomes his wife. This story was popular in the Middle Ages, and the name came into occasional use in parts of Europe at that time. In England it became common after the Protestant Reformation. Forde is English and Irish: variant spelling of Ford 1 and 2. This is a very common spelling in Ireland. Norwegian: habitational name from any of numerous farmsteads named Førde (there are eleven on the west coast), from Old Norse fyrði, dative of fjórðr 'fjord'.
Holly Mackenzie = Holly is from the English word for the holly tree, ultimately derived from Old English holen. Mackenzie is the Anglicized form of the Gaelic Mac Coinnich meaning "son of COINNEACH". It originates from the Kintail area of Scotland on the northwest coast.
Desmond Kingsley = Desmond is from an Irish surname which was derived from Deasmhumhain meaning "South Munster", originally indicating a person who came from that region in Ireland. Kingsley is from a place name meaning "king's clearing" in Old English.
Prince Kritanta of the Seventh Kingdom, son of Brynjar and Azalea, Captain of the Scarlet Nightingale. Kritanta is Idian for God of Death.
Lyra of the Seventh Kingdom, sometimes known as Lyra Nightingale. Lyra is the name of the constellation in the northern sky containing the star Vega. It is said to be shaped after the lyre of Orpheus.
Princess Delta of the Seventh Kingdom, daughter of Brynjar and Azalea. Delta is from the name of the fourth letter in the Greek alphabet, Δ. It is also the name for an island formed at the mouth of a river.
King Brynjar of the Seventh Kingdom (son of whoever and whoever). Brynjar is derived from the Old Norse elements bryn "armour" and arr "warrior". Norwegian, Icelandic.
Queen Azalea of the Seventh Kingdom, daughter of (King) Aza (and someone) of the Second Kingdom. Azalea is from the name of the flower, ultimately derived from Greek αζαλεος (azaleos) "dry".
Octavia, formerly known as Duchess Octavia of the Seventh Kingdom. Octavia is the feminine form of OCTAVIUS. Octavia was the wife of Mark Antony and the sister of Roman emperor Augustus. In 19th-century England it was sometimes given to the eighth-born child.
The Pants-less Hero, also known as "the/that woman". A hero, sans pants.
Jordan. From the name of the river which flows between the countries of Jordan and Israel. The river's name in Hebrew is יַרְדֵן (Yarden), and it is derived from יָרַד (yarad) meaning "descend" or "flow down". In the New Testament John the Baptist baptizes Jesus Christ in its waters, and it was adopted as a personal name in Europe after crusaders brought water back from the river to baptize their children. There may have been some influence from the Germanic name JORDANES, notably borne by a 6th-century Gothic historian.
Ms April. From the name of the month, probably originally derived from Latin aperire "to open", referring to the opening of flowers. It has only been commonly used as a given name since the 1940s.
Riley Williams. Riley is from a surname which comes from two distinct sources. As an Irish surname it is a variant of REILLY. As an English surname it is derived from a place name meaning "rye clearing" in Old English. Williams means "son of William".
Erik Forde. I don't care enough to find a name meaning for Erik because HE'S EVIL, MORE EVIL THAN OCTAVIA. *leaves to cry for Toby*
I'm sorry, I couldn't resist the urge to bring out full titles.
I tend to use names that sound good. I don't usually pay much attention to name meanings, except for Brynjar and Kritanta. I chose their names based off of the meanings.
