Arielle is generally a little hot-headed, not to say that she doesn't know when to stop but sometimes she lets her emotions get the better of her. She has an intense sense of right and wrong, so much so that the slightest imbalance in justice can drive her crazy. There's much more to her though than just a hot-tempered and irritable female, Arielle is actually extremely kind. Though her sympathies lie with the lower class, particularly the children, and she is well known for stopping to aid orphans and the deprived when she sees they are in need. Apart from this Arielle is also quite scholarly with a nose for politics, the fact females aren't allowed in the upper levels of government has been the cause of much anger on her part. She feels that keeping females at home is wrong, especially with so many brilliant women out there! Arielle is also something of a flirt, she has a longing to be loved for who she is, flaws and all, rather than how she looks. However with her view on the treatment of women its not all that easy to find someone willing to give her the affection and attention she craves. So in the meantime Arielle contents herself with flirting and charming men, though the ease at which she does so only further reiterates in her mind the fact that its wrong to lock women away.
♦Sɦɵʀʈ Pɛʀsɵɳɑʃiϯy♦ Arielle is stubborn, strong-willed, justice-oriented, intelligent, kind, resourceful, longing for love, and somewhat flirty.
♦Pɵʃiʈicɑʃ Øpiƞiơƞ♦ The fact that females are treated as less than males has become a sore spot for her, being highly intelligent and full of great ideas the fact that she, being female, is repressed due only to her gender is something that she hardly tolerates. It was this fact that led her to become a thief, it has nothing to do with a lack of monetary security but rather a show of rebellion against the government that would seek to subjugate her to its will and snuff out her own sense of self.

♦Sϯɵʀγ♦Arielle shifted slightly on her paws and growled softly, this wasn't turning out like she had hoped and planned. Initially things had seemed to be going fine, the overly wealthy noble had fallen into a dead sleep in his bedroom as planned, a little spiked water went a long ways, but now that she was inside things were not looking so promising. For one, her original exit strategy had been nixed, unfortunately the noble had had the good sense to reinforce the weak wall near the back door, and she was having difficulty finding his vault. The second one wasn't as much a problem as the first though, Arielle REALLY didn't want to have to actually break the home in order to escape. Her thieving had been known to go undetected with the unlucky Noble completely oblivious to his slightly depleted store of wealth. Yet if she had to damage the building in order to escape it would be obvious that there had been an intruder, and Arielle liked, above all things, remaining under the radar. Nervously she tapped a claw on the floor and froze. The sound her claw had made was not the typical sound one hears from a solid floor, no, she had unwittingly stumbled upon the Noble's vault.
"Intelligent little highborn aren't you?"
She muttered darkly to no one in particular, this was looking worse and worse for her, true, she had stumbled upon the vault and that should be a good thing, but the fact that this Noble had gone to such lengths to hide it....it didn't seem to indicate that she would be able to make her escape with a nice portion of his wealth undetected. Unbidden the image of the two young pups she had seen on the street this morning popped into her mind. Wide eyed, dirty, and emaciated, the poor things wouldn't survive much longer unless something was done. Snapping her jaw once angrily Arielle found her resolve slipping back into place. She wasn't doing this for herself, she was doing it to help those pups, and all the other pups like those two, who were orphaned, abandoned, and destitute.
For a brief moment she closed her eyes, thinking, a plan slowly shaped itself in her mind, she didn't like it but...if it was the only way.....heaving a sigh Arielle hooked a delicate claw between the "hollow" sounding floorboard and lifted it up. As she had suspected the vault was right there. She nodded her head, pleased, and leaned forward to study the lock mechanism. Despite the fact that the Noble had gone to such great lengths to hide it the lock was antiquated and rusty. Maybe he didn't want to bother with a new vault and invested in hiding it instead? She mused thoughtfully to herself even as she hooked her thinnest claw into the mechanism and maneuvered it. Amusingly the lock popped off in record time, with a soft snort she eyed the contents of the now-open vault. About seven bags of heavy gold coins lay down below, shaking her head in disgust the cream she-wolf pulled out each of the bags, careful not to make too much sound on the off case that the Noble woke. Arielle pulled the bags open and began to pull out coins, an even amount, from each bag. When she had a good-sized pile of coins, enough to feed those two orphans for a year, she pulled each of the bags closed and plopped them back into the vault, slipping the lid closed and putting the floorboard back in place.
Now the trick was getting out. First though, Arielle slid the coins into a secret pouch hidden beneath her clothes, that done she eyed the bedroom the Noble was in hesitantly, she hadn't expected to get the coins so quickly, and now that she had it seemed as though she had the time to look elsewhere for a means of escape. Making sure to keep her pawsteps soft and silent Arielle started to investigate the house. It was large and comfortable, well furnished and tastefully decorated....she hated it. Not because she had anything against beauty, she actually loved pretty things, but more because of the fact that it seemed unjust for one to have so much while others starved on the streets. A soft snarl escaped her, it was so unfair! But no, she didn't have time to brood at the moment, a sudden soft gust of cool air ruffled her leg fur and Arielle paused. Swiveling her head in the direction of the air she took a deep inhalation and felt her eyes brighten with excitement, it was fresh air from outside! Wagging her tail slightly she followed the thin stream of air, brow scrunched and nose twitching. She was so intent upon following the scent trail that she rammed her nose straight into a wall. Letting out a soft yelp Arielle stepped back a half step and blinked her eyes rapidly to clear the moisture that had obscured her vision, due to the "attack" on her nose, sure enough there was a little crack in the wooden wall, through which the air was trickling through. Feeling an immense amount of relief Arielle pushed a paw against the weak spot of the wall, it creaked to the touch as she had suspected. This was the difficult part, now she had to get out without making it appear as though she had been here in the first place, an idea had shaped itself in her mind though and she was willing to give almost anything a try.
What needed to be done was two-fold, first she would get out of the house, and two, she would make it look accidental. Though it was easier said than done Arielle was pretty confident with her plan, and besides, the longer she stayed here debating the less time she had to escape. And so, taking a deep breath, Arielle rammed through the weakest part of the wall, landing safely on the ground a few feet below. An immense feeling of relief swept over the she-wolf and she took a brief moment to dig her paws into the soft soil, relishing in the welcoming texture of the familiar earth. Yet she really had no time to dawdle, and it was with a great amount of care and reverence that she selected a large rock, tossing it a short ways through the hole, as though someone had thrown it at the wall. Arielle knew full well that the Noble's despised the street urchins and vice versa, the Noble would assume, as they always did, that one of the young orphans had done this, better to believe that then admit to an inability to defend oneself from a home invasion, though she was loathe to use the orphans as a scapegoat.

It was late by the time Arielle made it back to the shop where she worked as a tailor. The orphaned children had taken a while to track down, and even longer to explain where the money had came from, what it was for, what they should do now, and where they should go if they ever needed more help. Still, Arielle couldn't regret her actions, she fancied herself as a sort of Robin Hood, taking from the rich to give to the poor, being weary as a result seemed of little importance in comparison. Nakita, the store owner and Arielle's oldest friend, mentor, and confidante, was standing with a fierce scowl on her gray muzzle.
"And where exactly have you been all night THIS time?"
She growled, faint irritation flickering in her eyes. Though it caused Arielle quite a measure of guilt she hadn't thought it fair to inform Nakita about her nefarious deeds, the last thing she wanted was to involve, and possibly implicate, Nakita for her thieving. Wracking her mind for a suitable excuse Arielle scrabbled desperately at a plausible excuse.
"Mmmm I'm sorry Nakita...I was- I was- out protesting the inequality between the sexes."
Arielle murmured, her gaze skittering away from Nakita's face which looked both hurt and slightly angry.
"Fine. Keep your secrets Arielle, see if I care, just don't fall asleep at the treadle."
Nakita muttered, her tail lowered to the ground and her eyes burning with anger and hurt. Arielle winced slightly, she had never meant to hurt her friend. Maybe I should go join the Krieale Tribe or the Drulian Fighters, better for everyone. She thought miserably, her eyes downcast and tail tucked slightly in sadness. As she sat down in her chair. Heaving a soft sigh Arielle began to pull the threads through the treadle, watching quietly as slowly a dress began to take shape. Her mind was shutting down, escaping to that peaceful, lulling place that protected her from her painful thoughts. Her work at the treadle always seemed to soothe her and put her into an almost trancelike state.
The sudden violent knocking on the door caused Arielle to stir, flicking a quick and anxious glance at Nakita the beautiful wolf slipped from her chair and made her way hesitantly to the door. For a brief moment Arielle hesitated before she flung the door open.
"Yes? Is something the matter?"
She spoke in a soft and very feminine tone, doing everything possible to make herself seem like the harmless female males stupidly assumed she was. Her heart jumped though when she realized who was darkening the doorstep. It was the highborn who's house she had broken out of earlier! Forcing down the sudden wave of nerves Arielle tilted her head prettily and looked up at him questioningly. The highborn cleared his throat rather loudly, his eyes entranced with the pretty female who was looking up at him.
"I ah, I was-was coming down here to...um, ask about-about if you had seen any strange activity recently. Thieves or something of that ilk."
As he spoke he seemed to gain a hold of himself, a pity, Arielle was enjoying the effect she had on him. Her relief was tenuous, she knew full well that she was not in the clear yet, not by any means. Letting out a long thoughtful hum Arielle pretended to ponder the question carefully. Finally though she shook her head.
"I'm quite sorry sir, but I don't believe I've noticed anything out of the ordinary recently, I'm terribly sorry I couldn't be more helpful though."
She murmured, batting her eyes at him in an exaggerated way. All males assumed that females had nothing but butterflies up in their brains, and in this case that ridiculous way of thinking worked to her benefit. He started to turn to go and then paused. Arielle tightened her grip on the doorframe Just go! Please, there's nothing here for you. She thought through gritted teeth. Would that she could be so lucky. He turned back to her and leaned against the doorframe, extending a paw towards her.
"I'm William by the way, and let me just say that its been a pleasure speaking with you. If you ever need anything, just ask. You can find me here."
As he spoke he fished out a small card that had his address on it in addition to his name. Arielle bit the inside of her cheek guiltily, she knew that he was filthy rich and wouldn't miss the money but....seeing him beaming like a pup on Christmas on her doorstep made her feel like a cad. She finally made herself smile and nod, accepting the card. He looked pleased and dipped his head in farewell before heading down the stairs, plopping his tall hat back on his head. An orphan crossed into his path and with a snarl William smacked it with a cane. All pity and guilt Arielle had felt towards him vanished. Baring her teeth furiously, the she-wolf watched in pain as the little orphaned pup staggered to its paws and raced off with its tail between its legs. Slamming the door shut Arielle stalked to the treadle and sat down. But her fingers didn't move to the treadle, instead she sat, with anger burning in her eyes and made a vow with herself.
Until the day orphans are cared for and she-wolves are treated as equals, I shall always steal from the rich to give to the poor.
