Story: Jewel
In the northern California woodlands, a pup was born. Her mother was very ill at the time, and barely had the strength to do much more. The chilly breeze poked it's way into the den, making Jewel shiver. She feebly crawled to her mother for warmth, but she was colder than snow. Her eyes were closed and her bay was still. Hungry and tired, Jewel cried weakly all through the night.
The bright noon sun shone through the clumps of grass that tried to shield the den. The little kit's eyes were closed, but it could feel the warmth in the sun's rays. Barely able to move, she crawled towards it, up the slope. Foot steps sounded on the crunchy, snowy grass. Two hands grasped the pup as she tried t crawl out the entrance. She wanted to cry, but the hands were so warm. Unfamiliar words were spoken, and Jewel was gently set in a warm place. The kit curled up, happy for a little nap.
When Jewel awoke, she could open her eyes for the first time. She was surrounded by colorful things, all so warm. They were slender, thick, and fluffy, very comfy. She looked up, two brown walls on each side of her, and one above. In front of her was what looked like a large den.
She cried out, her stomach suddenly growling with hunger. More footsteps came, but a smooth voice was gentle. Though she couldn't understand it, it sounded so calm. Two warm hands picked her up gently carrying her towards a fire. The sparks of the fire danced through the air, and the wood crackled.
Jewel was gently placed in the crook of the large creature's arm. It was nice and warm in the fleece. There, she suckled on warm milk from a bottle and fell asleep again.

Months later, Jewel had grown to be a beautiful fox. She wore many jewels, and followed her owner Lindsey around everywhere. She had a little flap in the door if she wanted to go out, and a nice cozy box for her to sleep in. She loved to sit by the warm fire on cold winter nights, and creep outside on the warm summer evenings. Life was perfect.

P.S. I have decided if I get the foes I want, I'm going to intertwine their stories.
Also if you can't read it, I'll change the font color.
