her paws grazed the off colored grass as she trotted along. mist swirled around alaura's ankles as she trekked along. an uneasy feeling fell upon her as she felt like she was being watched.

"who's there?" she called, looking around anxiously.

suddenly, alaura was knocked over by a rush of ghostly figures. the lioness quickly scrambled to her paws and saw thousands, if not millions, of lions and lionesses along with cubs collapsing, coughing, and getting sick.

"a plague!" they wailed. "sickness!"

"sickness is coming?" alaura gasped.

"help me!" "please! i don't want to die!" "it hurts mama-"

alaura gasped as she woke with a start. "a plague," she mumbled to herself.

sickness was coming, and her ancestors had just warned her.

She could see them, the silverpelts on their strange beasts. The thunder of hooves rattled the world and caused a rumble to quake through the whole earth. Their magnificent trees fell due to the rumble, and only more and more silverpelts came. Lions were running, trying to get away from the hooves of the creatures the silverpelts rode on. They ran and ran, and tried to get away, but the horse's seemed to just get bigger, and those gigantic hooves crushed the poor lions underfoot.

Trees continued to fall and disappear, and strange, different things came up in their places. Strange tents, much like what the native peoples stayed in and called their homes, but they looked to be made of the bark of the trees that had fallen. More silverpelts and even stranger looking peoples were going in and out of them, and sometimes they even had cubs with them and other strange little animals. Some even had a lion or two within their strange dens, but these lions did not seem afraid of the folk that they, apparently, lived with.

Things continued to change. The strange tents became more and more neat and colorful, and they ultimately got rid of the dirt and replaced it with black rock, and these strange creatures rode over the black rock. They acted like horses, but there were humans within them, as if they ate them in order to take them places. And little suns were placed within each tent and about each black rock path. Humans were everywhere... It was all very strange.

congrats!! i like how the human concepts here were being viewed through lion's eyes throughout the dream, and how it gradually developed and shaped over time.
