The catacombs are a vast underground network of tunnels, only accessible by a few select spots on the surface.
Ancient cats carved and explored these tunnels through centuries of hard work. At the heart of the catacombs
is a nook bustling with life: Catalena. Here cats live harmoniously in groups called guilds, in which every memb-
er has it's own special role. There are merchants, barbarians, witches, foragers, every type of citizen you could
imagine. Everyone contributes to Catalena in their own way and keeps it safe for the cats that live there.

"My family?" The question Gaston asked her catches her off guard and she thinks for a moment. "Well I don't have...a traditional family. My mother gave me off to my grandmother before I even knew who she was. "

She pauses to think on it, eyes turned upward for answers. "I guess, I love them? I mean of course I love them. Family is family. You're supposed to love each other." She returns her gaze back to Gaston as she continues. "But sometimes you may wanna just shake em."

Cherri huffs softly. "I love my granma and my granpap. They raised me ya know? My mom well...she's gone. Not...dead or anything but...well she wasn't ready." She shrugs and thinks on it some more, a paw on her muzzle as she ponders over things. "But I've always had a big family regardless. My mom, my granpap, granma, Uncle Notch, Aunt Sniffs. Cousins Nimble, Shimble and Shank. Auntie Hoot and Uncle Wisp. Then there's my half siblings too like Jaws, Rattler and Quip." She smiles softly. "They drive me crazy. There's never enough room anywhere in the house but we made it work. Whenever things went sour or things got bad, we might not have had it all but there was no doubt we had each other's backs."

She purrs sweetly. "When I gratuated from training school my family had a big ol' party. And we may have messed up someone's property, yeah Auntie Hoot got into a fight with Uncle Wisp's ex-mate, and the half siblings argued all night. But I was so happy. I sat with Granma and we just talked while watching it all happen. And it's funny ya know? But even though ma wasn't there, I was never alone."

The black and red feline smiles sadly. "It's why it's so hard for me...being this far away from home. I know I can always go back and visit, but it's so different now."
