When the announcement went out that the ship had been fixed Latona felt a wave of relief wash over her. As much as she had enjoyed her time on the island the thought of seeing her son again overwhelmed all other thoughts. Looking out over the railing of the ship the mother of one almost seemed to lean out, as if she would swim out herself if the ship would not. "It's good to see you well madam." Ears flicking back she gave her new friend a small smile "Merchant I was not aware that you were a passenger. It's good to see you." The mystery man joined her on the rail as he perched upon it "In fact I'm not. I just supposed that I should say farewell before your departure, and to give you a bit of advice."
"Advice?" Peering curiously for a bit she glanced a face white as bone under the hood for the first time. "I've gone by many things in my life and you define yours as mother. Your son will do well but do not worry for him when your gone. It is never my job to become so close to another but you.. for you I see that death will not be your end." With that final word he fell back. Quickly glancing over the edge of the ship she seen nothing fall to the water below. As if he had vanished leaving nothing but mild fear and confusion.

Eli felt weirdly emotional at Sharks statement of Eli leaving the island.
Eli had grown fond of the island and it's residents. As Eli had told Carter before goodbyes were not forever but it still was sad. Eli reached out for a hug from Shark which Shark backed up from quickly.
"Carrrrr."
"No kid no."
"Ill miss you Car."
"Don't call me Car ever again. Ill see you again someday i got a date bye."
The Shark left Eli on the beach never looking back once.
"Enjoy your date with Montyyyy."
Shark left faster.

Eli decided time was best spent saying goodbye to everyone else on the island of Kalokairi. Also Eli had no idea what that name meant really.
First Eli visited Timothy and brought Timothy a gift from the searches Eli had did from past prompts as Eli called them.
"Hey kit seems us tourists are leaving the islands so I wanted you to have the conch."
"Cool thanks! "
That simple action made a kit happy and Eli did not feel so bad to lose the conch.

Eli went to see Carter than Monty than Egg and Captain than all the other folks because theres so many npcs.
Eli than talked to Rook and Spider and was told the 100 fish list was a hit when everyone on the island was really bored.
Eli had to tell Emily later the marine biologist would be overjoyed to hear that.
Eli dropped the rupees by Elly and made it an donation to the museum.
Since Eli really could not do anything with rupees anyways it made sense for the merkals to enjoy them.
Eli than went to the giftshop and bought some fake crabs with magic properties as Eli was told. As an afterthought Eli had the island map framed with the cruise pamphlet and bought a pink crab plushie for Emily. Trystyn gets a journal with fish cause its leather and actually looks pretty nice so Trystyn could just be thankful for once. Not that Eli is bitter for past actions or anything.

Eli than held the pink crab plushie close to them and cried as the day came to an end. While awaiting the cruise ship Eli got weird looks from tourists there but Eli did not really care as the situation was bitter sweet.

Home.

After the adventures she'd had, it seemed like a faraway place, one she hadn't seen for many moons, and somewhere that made her feel bittersweet about returning to.

This cruise was certainly an adventure to remember. Never before had she been on such a wild and unexpected holiday; from the ship breaking down, to being stuck on the island, to meeting the people, and running about doing activities. That's what she'd miss the most; the people. How could she not? They were all such wonderful and different characters, of course she was going to miss and remember them dearly.

The island had been so peaceful. The beaches, the ocean, the lush jungle, the small town...it seemed so far away from the hustle and bustle of her usual city life. She was exchanging the sea for traffic, and palm trees for skyscrapers. There was never a quiet moment in the city, whereas here, there was always birdsong and the gentle rolling waves on the shore. Both places so different, yet somehow, she loved them both.

She stood on the top deck of the ship, arms folded against the railings, gazing over the island with misty eyes. She'd taken hundreds of pictures, but still, her eyes tried to commit every detail to memory. Pictures would only show so much. They couldn't let you feel the warm breeze, or smell the tang of ocean brine. You couldn't feel the sand beneath your feet, or the water washing over your toes.

It was strange, she thought, that she could love both her concrete jungle and tropical paradise. In a way, she felt a small part of her had made its own home here. All of her wasn't going back to the city, just as all of her wasn't staying here.

Was she going to miss this place? Yes.
Had she been missing home as well? Yes.
Would she ever come back here? Without a doubt, yes.
Was she still sad, knowing she had to leave it for now? Yes, yes she was.

In the meantime, she would send postcards and letters. Keep in touch with the island residents, let them know she was thinking of them. Back home, she would be able to show her friends what this place had been like, and tell them stories about her wonderful adventures. Maybe she could even bring some with her next time, and let them experience the magic too.

At the end of all of this, she knew two things were for certain.

One; she'd left a part of her heart in Kalokairi, but she knew it would be taken care of.

And two; there was absolutely nothing in this world that could ever keep her from returning to the place that she felt comfortable enough to call her second home.

Antheia is ready to go home. She'll miss the island, it's true, it's people and it's beauty, but she knows she could never live here. It's so small and the flora has been constantly attacking her since she stepped foot on the beach - as much as she'd love to stay within the small tight-knit community, nothing is worth what she has felt here. At least she's gotten to relax with the wonderful feeling of Shark and Monty's love blooming in her chest whenever she's nearby either of them.
Monty has stated they are likely heading home on the ship, though- "don't be a stranger back on board" - and knowing that if she stayed here she'd have to suffer with Shark's heartache is another major deterrent for her. She'll have to live with Monty's on board too, sure, but only for a couple of days.
Besides, she adds to herself as she stands on the deck of the ship and gazes out across the island painted golden by the setting sun. She has people at home waiting for her. More heartache to fix, more love to spread, more potions to make. Lynx is there too, and as much as she wishes each day she had never done to Lynx what she had, knowing her friend is happy and in love and near her is enough for her to be happy too. She needs to give her the beautiful candle souvenirs and get back to work - no one could ever offer her a holiday cheap enough to make her abandon Lynx forever.
Yeah, she has reasons to go home. More reasons to go than to stay.
With that firmly in her mind, Antheia squares her shoulders and turns away from the island. She's said her goodbyes - now all she needs to do is wait to set sail.

Eleanor leaned on the ship's railing as it began to float away from Kalokairi. She waved farewell from the deck, spotting Carter, Shark, Timothy, and Monty among the gathering of island residents who had come to see their guests off. She was sure the others were around there somewhere, too, but the more she searched, the farther the ship seemed to sail. With a small pang of sadness, she watched Carter's face disappear from discernible view. She had really wanted to spend more time with him-- talk more about what the big world beyond Kalokairi was like, perhaps hang out someplace not out front of his cabin. But time was short and fleeting, and she had responsibilities waiting for her back at home. Her students, friends, and family. Maybe if summer were a little longer, she could have "missed the boat" and spent some more time on the island, but she knew better than to let her fantasies get the best of her.

"Goodbye, Carter," she mumbled to herself, still staring from the deck. "I hope you find what makes you happy, too." She smiled fondly as she recalled his aspirations as a cartographer, and the idea that they might meet again became not so crazy after all.
