ye-ji beamed, flying up from under her covers and licking her lips. she shuffled out from the duvet and wiped
her eyes, taking in the sweet scent of her eomma's buttermilk pancakes- a smell easily distinguishable from the
rest for her. after all, these past years have been tough for her; losing her best friend, not being able to pay
rent, moving in with her more than demanding eomma; it had all wore her down to the bone.

it's not like she had any other choice since it was almost all her fault, but it was tough. incredibly tough. her
eomma seemed to be studying her for the time she had been living under her roof, and had baked together a
plan to possibly cheer her up. ye-ji's relationship with her eomma was far from perfect, but that didn't shake off
her eomma's indescribable love for ye-ji.

her eomma's step one was to master making ye-ji's favorite meal- buttermilk pancakes with fruit on the side, a
dish ye-ji had loved ever since visiting america. it was simple there, yes, but in the eun household, baking and
cooking skills were uncommon. it took ye-ji's mother several days and broken pans to finally make them fluffy and
yummy, but she managed to do so after a while.

when ye-ji woke up one morning to find her much desired meal on her kitchen table, she was filled with a happiness
that was rare for her to feel nowadays. she remembers exactly what day it was that her eomma made this special
pancakes, and she can't help but love them because of the meaning behind them- an eomma's love for her daughter.

what can i say, this girl is a health nut. i mean she kind of has to be, as if she ate anything 'unhealthy' the mushrooms on her back would act up and release some nasty smells. she especially can have any processed foods, so you can always find her cooking up her meals. its so she knows what going into it and not whats being served to her. this caused komos to think shes stubborn and picky, but its truly so she doesnt smell like a hogs pin.
