valor wrote:first day of school, and already i'm being asked what i missed most about summer. aside from the obvious, like swimming and endless summer night fun with all of my squad, i really miss butterfly catching. i have a huge collection -- living and dead! some find it pretty morbid, but documenting the kind of butterflies i find, being able to admire their beauty even after death, there's something eerily soothing about it. my living butterflies are all monarchs, and i let them go when suitable. i love drawing them, writing about them, learning, its all so fascinating to me! during the winter, i think that's what i miss most.
