Lady woke up on a cold hard surface. Thats odd...
She pried her eyes open, only to me met with a dimly lit cave. She immediately jumped up, startled by the unknown area. How did she get here?
She curled her tail and pressed her ears back. This was not a place she was familiar with at all. She stood alone in a small dimly lit cave, moisture heavily present in the air. She slowly crawled out the cave entrance, only to see that the cave was in the middle of a large lake. The sun was shining down, giving the lake a beautiful yet sinister look. It was very quiet.
Poor girl was so scared. She slowly crawled to the top of the small cave to get a better view. It truly was a big lake but in the distance, she could barely make out the rocky hills where the pack resides. She had to get back somehow. She let out a howl, trying to call for help but her howls were met with silence.
There wasn’t much of a choice left, she had to swim.
With a bold jump, she dove into the water and started paddling towards land. It was quite a feat but she managed to clamber back onto dry land. She immediately started heading back to more familiar territory.

“Not again,” Alaway groaned as he blinked the last bit of sleep from his eye, taking in the unfamiliar cave surrounding him. This was becoming a bad habit.

For about once a week for the past month Alaway has been waking up increasingly farther away from where he’d fallen asleep. All outside of pack territory and apparently all without the night guard noticing him leaving in the middle of the night. It was troublesome, to say the least.

The healer seemed to think it was nothing, he hadn’t hurt himself on these trips and always managed to find his way back within a day. This place felt different though, he was inside a cave, the cool air filling his lungs as he took in the sight around him.

Water dripped from somewhere behind him and in front towards the mouth he could hear the lapping of waves on a shore, so the beach maybe or even a lake although he hadn’t traveled to the lake before. What caught his eye was paintings on the walls of the cave, just barely lite by the morning sun slipping into the opening. He knew what they were having seen something similar as a pup, but these had Nox on them something felt weird.

Alaway studied the paintings, standing up to get a closer look as the faded red ink littering the cave wall, trying to commit the scene to memory.

“I need to tell the pack about this,” He said finally, taking one last look before slipping out of the cave, he’d be back once he figured out how to get home that was.
