Y'know, most days I still don't actually feel like I'm part of kalon staff. Crazy, man. Crazy stuff.
This kalon was inspired by a fancy scarf that gives me those good ol' bestiary vibes.
Non-Rarity: Sclera color
Standard: Hair, Shine
Common: Longer fur, Tail, Backmane
Uncommon: Shorter fur, Ears
To win this kalon, your task is to create a beastiary entry for them!
The entry can either be ABOUT this kalon (the kalon is the beast), or created BY this kalon (an animal that means something to them in some way).
Because bestiaries were hand-written and illustrated, I'd like the entry to be in image form. It can be either digital or traditional, but it should be hand-written and decorated with some sort of sketch of the kalon/creature you're talking about! There's no size limit to the image, but the final product should be just one image. No animations please! Here's a wiki excerpt if you aren't sure what a bestiary is:
Feel free to play around with the format, you can go for a classical bestiary or more of a field guide!
The only thing I definitely want is for your entry to have a "moral lesson" behind it!
Form:
End Date: Saturday, December 8th at 11:59 PM Central Time
By the way - you won't be based on the quality of your artwork, especially considering... medieval artists didn't really know what animals looked like.
Here are some "lions" you'd find in a bestiary:

A bestiary, or bestiarum vocabulum, is a compendium of beasts. Originating in the ancient world, bestiaries were made popular in the Middle Ages in illustrated volumes that described various animals and even rocks. The natural history and illustration of each beast was usually accompanied by a moral lesson. This reflected the belief that the world itself was the Word of God, and that every living thing had its own special meaning. For example, the pelican, which was believed to tear open its breast to bring its young to life with its own blood, was a living representation of Jesus. The bestiary, then, is also a reference to the symbolic language of animals in Western Christian art and literature.
