as a pup Kafali never had much interest in fighting but still wanted to help his pack. he had been interested in foraging for plants and finally knew what he could do. he'd wanted to be the medicine wolf since that wolf played a very important role when battles or fighting came up. (53/200)

As a pup, they were very weak, and had to be taken care of by the medicine wolf that came before them. Their pack had encouraged his mother to let him pass away naturally, as these things happen a lot more often than most would admit. He was unable to digest for a while, and it was later found out that the pup had also been born blind and with a cognitive disorder. When he walked, he would wobble and often times fall. However, through all of this, he survived. Thanks to the medicine wolf before him, he was able to live despite his lack of sight and his cognitive issues.

His father knew immediately that he couldn't have him fight with the rest of the pack, and his mother knew that he had to do something in order not to be killed by the Alphas. The medicine wolf took over, finding that the pup was able to do work of a medicine apprentice without many issues. He would continue to do work with the medicine wolf above them, helping them care for other pack members, and learning how to become the next medicine wolf once his mentor passed on.
