O.M.GWhat a bae <3 Sorry, it's a wall of text again xD
(Im so totally going to replay Republic Commando now)
Loner; While clones have in their majority been created for team work, Coyote is more of a solitary person, in both his personality and his combat style. He can communicate fine with a limited quantity of people around, and has no problems recieving orders or giving reports; it's the big crowds that make him uncomfortable - he feels dazzled and might even get a panic attack when forced to be in a big mass of his brothers for too long - a psychological disorder he developed during his creation; this trait was noticed in him at a young age and would have usually doomed him to a job in sanitary unit at best, but after tests revealing his higher than average attributes in certain aspects, kaminoans placed him in specialised solo training. He's a highly effective solitary sniper and diversionist, working best when he doesnt have to worry about his brothers and can fully focus on his task. He does his best to remain calm and stay cool in every situation, and in battle he's solid as a cliff thanks to rigorous training he went through; but out of battle it is often hard for him to keep his stress from making him want to distance and slip away.
Superstitious; Coyote is very superstitious and believes in a wide array of various "omens" that must be treated properly or you'll have to face dire consequences. Like never stepping over a weapon (it'll then be bound to break during a battle), never speak badly of a dead enemy or their vengeful spirit will hex you with bad luck, and so forth. It's not rare among the clones to have their own little superstitions but Coyote takes them a lot more seriously than others. He would never admit it, but it is actually due to him seeing things - like his spiritual animal, a coyote, he didnt just choose but literally saw a few times, as a ghostly animal guiding him on his path. He's keeping his secret very tight (this secrecy hails from Coyote observing one of his brothers, who had hallucinations due to brain development anomalies, being taken away and then never coming back; he can put two and two together, and realises faulted clones' fate is far from a happy one) and it's unknown even to him if he's merely hallucinating, or he is more sensitive than other clones and can see force ghosts. The latter however is slightly more likely because he does possess greater intuition than most of his brothers, as if he can "feel" what is going to happen next - he will however always make it look like he just made a lucky guess. Despite his lone nature, he gravitates towards jedi ever since he saw one in action - he feels sort of kinship with them, because they wield unseen energies he can somehow feel as well, so he tries to keep in touch with his general more than you'd expect of him (some of his brothers joke he has a crush on her, an explanation he's perfectly fine with because it covers his true reasons well).
Job-Married; Coyote is a workaholic and always yearns for a task to fulfill. Empty schedule makes him grow nervous and itching to do something productive, so every second he's not on a mission, he devotes to training, armor and weapon cleaning, and so forth. He never joins his brothers during breaks for their usual activities, preferring to hole up in his quiet corner and work on his future mission preparations. If not for the strict regime at the barracks, he'd be prone to skipping sleep and meals - he does occasionally when on missions, although his hit-and-run tasks usually dont take long enough for him to do it. If he doesnt have anything to do at all, he will just wander around the base making sure everything is in check (often entirely unseen by other clones - stealth habits).
Strengths and Weaknesses:
His loneliness is both his strength and weakness at the same time. It allowed him to develop a much more independant mind than other clones, and provides him with advantages of a solo warrior in enemy's flanks - harder to locate, harder to hit. But at the same time, it strips him off a valuable teamwork's benefit - help. If he gets wounded or stuck in a pinch, he can only rely on his own strength and intelligence, and no one will come to help him.
Other than that, he's got many strong points to him; his training have made him a near perfect war machine. However his psychological disorder still can affect him in a negative way, lowering his effectivity when he's triggered; it doesnt usually happen in battle unless he gets caught up in the crowd of his brothers, at which point he begins to frantically seek a way out to escape it.
Tell me a story about him:
How about a story of how he first met his spiritual guide?
It was way back in his childhood, at night when Coyote couldnt sleep. He lain awake for hours thinking about his brother - the one mentioned above - that was taken away yesterday and still havent returned by now. Out of their entire unit, Coyote only ever grew close with him, and was worrying because the day before he was taken, his brother acted stranger than usual, saying weird things and walking oddly. Coyote feared he was sick, usually medical check-ups never took that long, and feared for his friend's wellbeing. Suddenly, in the middle of the night, the door to their barrack opened. Coyote froze in place, listening in to what was happening in the room. It was sanitary unit, and they... did cleanup? But not like usual, they were trying to be very quiet, only spent a few minutes and left - and they never did it at night! After they were gone, Coyote carefully left his bedding cell. His missing brother's locker was emptied, and his bedding cell now had an "unoccupied" mark on it. Stricken with sadness, Coyote went right after the sanitary team intending to ask them what happened, but heard them talking from behind the corner and stopped before they could see him. They were indeed discussing the fate of Coyote's brother... how the medics could not do anything to improve his condition and he was "put down". The final words crashed down on Coyote like cold shower, and, panicking, he ran away from there and hid in the only place he thought was safe - behind some cargo crates in a small storage room nearby. He realised his brother was put down for being different - and he, Coyote, was different from the others, as well! Back at that moment, he was not a future elite soldier but a scared child trying to hide from the world. And in his most vulnerable moment, his animal guardian came to him the first time.
It was a soft light moving down the passage - Coyote at first thought it was someone coming this way. But no footsteps could be heard. He slowly peeked out and saw a ghostly, partially see-thought creature, looking like a small canine, standing a few steps away from him. It emited faint, pulsing glow and didnt make a single sound - Coyote's own heartbeat seemed like thunder for him in absolute silence. A few still moments appeared to be hours. But eventually Coyote got over his shock, and curiosity started to grow. He slowly moved a little closer and reached his hand out to the mysterious creature. But before he could touch it, footsteps in the corridor made him jump back into his hideout. Somebody was going this way, fast. Coyote once again started to panic.
The ghostly creature started to move - it slinked into the niche Coyote was hiding in, passed by him and ducked somewhere down - there turned out to be a small hole between the crates, leading to the other side of the stack. Storage room's door opened, foot steps moved closer and closer, and Coyote decided to follow the ghost. He climbed through the hole between the crates just a second before a flashlight lit his entire, now empty, hiding place. The ghost canine led Coyote through a safe path past the checkup patrol - through ventillation system, behind a sanitary team cart and via the back corridor - back to his barrack. He instantly jumped back into his bedding cell and froze, barely breathing from fear.
He wasnt caught out of bed than night, and in the morning their kaminoan scientist "explained" to Coyote that his friend has sadly died of desease. She inquired very insistently if Coyote felt anything wrong with him and needed to be checked up too, but after he learned the truth last night, obviously he said he was absolutely fine. Since that night, be started to hide his true condition from anyone as much as he can, another reason why he distances from others and focusing on his tasks. And the ghostly creature appeared several times to him since, showing him a way out of dire situations.
