Reproduction
Qirums have no identified genders and do not breed like normal animals, instead they merge the energies of their souls with another Qirum using the gems that are on their foreheads. The combined energy is then transmitted into a nearby rock and, with time, that rock is coated in a layer of sediment that almost resembles diamonds. After a couple of months, with careful guarding and protecting of this rock, the stone turns into the body of a small Qirum, which emerges from the shell already able to walk and feed itself, though they still rely on the protection of one or both of their parents.
Due to how taxing this energy transference can be to Qirums, they can only breed 5 times in their lives and can have up to 2 foals per covering, though this is rare. It has also been observed that they take at least 2 years between 'merging' before having another foal, unless the previous foal dies and they have the time and energy to invest in another.
Qirums cannot be bred with anything other than another Qirum.
Rules for Reproduction
> Qirums can breed up to 5 times in their life. They give birth to one or two foals.
> Qirums may identify as any gender and have any sexuality.
> You must wait two weeks after breeding to breed any of your Qirums again. This is subject to change later.
> Foals can grow after two weeks.
> Post a ticket if an artist posted about their open breeding slot(s).
> You may not PM artists with your ticket.
> Marking is allowed.
> You can request for any artist to transfer the foal's design onto the adult lines.
> If, for some reason, you do not like the foal outcome/s or the number of foals rolled, this can be redone... but at a cost chosen by the artist.
Rolling System
Roll from 1 to 10.
1-7 – 1 foal (70%)
8-10 – 2 foals (30%)
Both parents share a trait – autopass.
One parent have a trait – 50% chance (1-5 – trait doesn’t pass, 6-10 – trait passes)
Legendary traits don’t autopass. 10% if only one parent have a legendary trait (pick a number from 1 to 10, roll), 30% if two parents share a legendary trait (got 8, 9 or 10 – trait passes).
