~Prophecy~ ||| Allison Grace ||| FemaleBirds- The tormentor of my dreams.
Everywhere, everyplace- in all the little seems
Coo - Coo - Coo!
I had dreamed of murres strumming,
Their whimpers a loud humming.
I don’t know if I was mistaken,
But boy, I could not awaken.
Birds: the oppressor of my thoughts.
Overpowering! Strongly they had fought.
A crow visited me this time.
It talked to me in a rhyme.
But in the fact that it was cheeping,
Only this and a squawk.
I knew that I was crazy
My mind getting hazy.
Caw - Caw - Caw
It let out in a holler.
Coo - Coo - Coo
It spoke to me in words.
I could understand the small hoot.
I even could tell what it meant when it uttered a little noot.
Was was happening- was I going mad?
Oh how this could be so very very bad.
The bird wanted to me to learn.
Knowledge it would show me, knowledge I could earn.
So I followed the little feathered guy.
Joining us was another bird, a baby magpie.
The birdie was soft, I guess kinda nice!
Better than other things- rats, snakes, or mice.
“Not so bad you see?
This bird however, does have a relevancy.
This bird is not usual: she is already dead,
Fell onto the ground from the tree overhead.
Couldn't escape, couldn’t fly.
Though she really did try.
She waited for mama see
Was patient, but let out a sad plea
A fox! A fox! A fox came by.
A red furry creature, exceedingly sly.
Swooped up the chick,
Ate it whole- without a lick.
A bystander, one very large
Big enough to have taken charge.
You, a viscet! Mighty and strong
Where oh where did you go wrong.
Pretended it never happened, turned a side eye!
Let a helpless being suffer and die!
Shame on you! Shame on you!
There was so much you were able to do.
But you didn’t! You didn’t! So shame!
You are apart of the reason to blame?”
“Oh magpie, I must apologize!
The sorrow you must feel I cannot synthesize.
I had never liked you bird
Or so you may have heard.
This is now not true.
For the actions of a few birds should not ruin all of you.
I am so sorry, sorry for what I have done.
I really do feel bad sorry, I’m sorry a ton.
I have realized my actions were wrong.
May your soul rest well, be happy in song.
