The large she-wolf prowled, flexing her muscles as her paw-pads ghosted along the desert floor. Slowly, she came to a stop, inhaling deeply as her eyes searched the dunes around her, and then she found the scent she was searching for... she was on the hunt. A silent snarl was torn from her lips, exposing razor sharp teeth as she glowed with restrained fury. There were
her lands, and the intruders had no right to be there... Crim wasn't merciless, of course. She'd told them it belonged to her, but the pompous
mutts told her that they didn't care. They slaughtered her innocent pack. And now they had to pay the price. Crim paused once more, looking to her lone pack-mate behind her, and the fire in her eyes seemed to change to ice. Not only had those fools endangered her, but also her pack. It was unacceptable.
If anything, the change in Crim made her even more terrifying. Before, she was out of her mind with anger. Still a terribly destructive force of nature, but it was nothing compared to now. Now, she was rational. She was powerful, and she knew exactly what to do with her power to bring about the most destruction.
Crim turned, lunging over the hill of sand and onto the back of an intruder, coldly dispatching him, eyes aglow, before moving on to the next one. Behind her, she heard her pack-mate, and knew her back was safe, and so didn't hesitate to charge the alpha. This one was strange... he wore armor to protect himself. But it wasn't enough to stop the she-wolf with heightened abilities. She lunged, and fought, and slowly but surely his armor fell to pieces under her furious claws and teeth. And he was defeated.
Crim leaned down to the sudden silence behind her, taking the only untouched armor from the alpha before her- a mask with a single red stone, dyed with the blood of her pack-mates.
Crim placed it on herself, and turned. She let loose a heart-stopping howl, full of sadness, but also triumph, and watched the rest of her enemies flee before her. She laid down slowly, and felt the presence of her last pack-mate beside her...
It was going to take a long, long time to rebuild what had been lost.
