The image shown is a 22 degree halo moon, which happens when the moonlight reflects off of tiny pieces of ice in the air.
Meztli was hatched on a dark, new moon night, very unlike the beautiful halo moon that her egg was layed on. Her parents
had been surprised and excited that she'd been layed on such a special occasion, so they called her Meztli, a unisex name
meaning moon. Mez grew up to love the moon and stars. She is a night owl, and dislikes the daytime. Many call her nocturnal.
She lives wild, out in the woods.

Arma is one of the many Lunar deities - Arma was the Anatolian Moon god, worshipped by the Hittites and Luwians in the Bronze Age and early Iron Age. Well, it obviously fits ;) The gif I included, is a blood moon, which Arma - the viscet - was born under, as a legacy.

The Viscet stood, waiting on the cliff for the orange sphere to arise from the black horizon. In this region (The region of the Fire Moon), the sun rose once a month, and on this day, the Fire Moon would arise, sparking the restart of the old and the beginning of the new Eras. It was an event that happened once a hundred years, and she was ready to welcome the new moon guardian into her world. As the sun reached it peak, on the glassy black cliff, lay in egg. A new Era had begun.

One was mostly full the other was just a crest, if you were to put them together it would create a full moon. But this night wasn't like most, its was the winter Solstice, the longest night of the year. It was on this night 14 years ago that Soul had been born, and her parents named her Solstice in honor of the event and her birth.

Delios felt as if he were being watched. It was dark under a starless sky, the moon hidden behind fluffy storm-clouds rolling in overhead. As he looked around, his eyes fell on another viscet with white markings - she wasn't from his world. "Who are you?" he called out, his voice steady and unafraid of his opponent.
She turned and called back, "Wren, Bottler of Dreams and Catcher of Moonlight. What are you doing in my realm? You don't belong here."
He smirked in reply. "I can transport between realms. Your realm is my realm - they are different, yet the same."
