buzzardstar is a tom of his time. sitkaclan was in ruins when he refounded it. the once ancients of the now ruined clan came to him trodden with starry footsteps and asked for him to remake the clan, pulling it up from the depths of time, for he himself, though not known to him, was a blood relative to a cat once in the clan. sitkaclan runs in his blood, and even though its not known to him, he still has a deep feeling of safety and home in the clan, it's like when he walks around the old camp, he knows where to go, where to find all its nooks and crannies. every little secret that he shouldn't know of, he knows. the memories of sitkaclan are within him, and its his time to build it from the roots up.

The cry rang out, energy shooting into Stoatpaw's limbs. He bounced on his toes, itching to feel the wind in his fur, but he waited, oh so patiently, watching the little tortoiseshell cat dart away.

"Go, Stoatpaw!" finally came the cry from his mentor, and he took off at once, long legs eating up the space between him and Otterpaw. With another stride he overtook her, crossing the stone they'd marked as the end of their little race.

"I'll never win," panted Otterpaw. "You're too fast."

Stoatpaw, barely winded, shook his head with a slight smile. "I'm just patient."

Best Skill: ever since he was a young kit, sparrow knew he was different than the other kittypets. he had an odd fascination with birds and weather, and could detect what weather and what would happen by the way the birds flew and the way the air smelled. the kittypets made fun of him for it. but he knew why.

For a while, I always thought I had no best skill.
I tried everything. Hunting? Always scared off.
Fighting? Pff. I figure a 5 moon old kit could beat me.
Tracking? Nah.

...it was until I had ...experience with the water is only when I discovered my skill.
It was flood season, and there was no way out. Other than go back - no, death.
So I swam.

I struggled at first - thinking I'd drown - but I got the hang of it.
I became a natural.
I only wish I knew when Snowkit drowned as kits.
That would have been helpful.

Best Skill: Daisynose's best skill, as her name implies, is sniffing things out. Not just prey or predators though; Daisynose has a fascinating way of being able to get to the bottom of things. She is interrogative, and will often look into things further than anyone around her would. She can sniff out even the most shifty of criminals, and she can tell when someone seems off without a second though. Most cats of Silentclan love taking her on a hunting patrol or an investigation contract.

Trenchbelly is one of the most skillful members of the clan, but perhaps the thing he is best at is blending in with the rocks near and in the camp. He uses his dark pelt to an advantage to ambush potential intruders and prey. This doesn't come without it's disadvantages, however, as he is more easily seen when crouching in the snow.

MudSplash's best skill would be his level of empathy. He cares deeply for all the cats around him and he never fails to look after another cat when they're having a rough time. He's calm and carrying but most of all he's kind, he's the father you'd never have because he's able to sympathize with everyone around him.

Mire always fell behind during her family's group hunts. Despite the fact all were well trained, she had much shorter legs than most of them, and being the weakest she easily exhausted herself. It was thus that her father, Horse, began to think of tactics to train his daughter to a different, hunting related technique; and she found it within spotting and tracking.

As her family waited her signal, the skinny she-cat would walk, slowly and surely, through the tall grasses. She knew all the paw marks of their prey, and almost all the little signs of their having had been there- it was beyond just scent. On one caper she tracked the mice they were after by a collection of chewed up wheat they'd left behind.

Best Skill: hognose, in her old age, might as well have been as blind as a bat and about as dumb as a pile of rocks. but one thing she'll always carry with her is her excellent sense of smell. hognose could practically pick out a mouse from a shrew fox-lengths away. she often picks out cats based on smell and because of that, prefers to hang around kittens. after all, they smell like goodness and warm milk. at least, to hognose they do!
