What's going on?!;
The frost sunk its frigid teeth into the evergreen forest, the trees powdered over with the crystallized water, the moonlight dancing off the droplets. All was silent, except for the occasional hoot of an owl spotting it's prey for the night. The forest was dense, much denser than most forests out in the world. It was in the heavy chill of midnight, the sky fogged with dark snow clouds, weighed down with their haul of snowflakes that drifted down to kiss the treetops gently. The great old evergreens shielded most of what was below except for a few open patches where the snowflakes lighted down upon the dirt, turning it cold and hard. Underneath a great evergreen sat a strange outline, the moon's light blocked by the giant trunk of the tree. The figure appeared to be wiggling slightly, as if awake and taking to an itch. But upon closer reveal the figure was in fact asleep, it's maw revealing a twisted frown and a furrowed brow. The figure was shadowed by the darkness the trunk cast over its body, the giant evergreen shielding the figure from the cold as well. The dirt around the trunk had been dug out, the fresh fertile dirt sat, vulnerable to the chilling midnight breeze but the figure safely nestled inside the dugout hole. Again the figure wiggled, its muscles tensing and the mouth turning into a grimace of pain. The figure didn't shiver like the cold was bothering it, much more it was an inside pain. A small gasp came from its maw, the breath visible in the chill of the night, it's wispy, fog-like appearance tickling the air. More wisps followed after, the breathing inconstant and the figure struggling, it's paws grasping the dirt. Suddenly a blue flame lit upon its back, the figure giving a small scream, his rough voice echoing across the trees.
“Jay? Jay! Jay where are you I cannot see!” The male gasped, his voice rough as he stood in a rush, grabbing the trunk for balance, his claws sinking into the bark of it. The male scrambled in the dirt, standing up on his hind legs, revealing himself as a Viscet. His voice was deep and would seem strong if it weren't for the state the male was in. Worry crept over his face, his expression masking that of fright. The male stepped into the moonlight, half his face hooded during the midnight hours, but the light revealed pale grey eyes. They shown with fright, scanning the area around them with a skittish movement. The male himself turned in a couple circles, trying to collect his mind. The male stopped turning for an instant, his whole front half illuminated by the moon's gaze, revealing the Viscet fully to the quiet forest. The male's fur leaked downward but stayed within itself as some sort of goop that refuses to drip. His fur was fluffed at the feet, the gentle blue and yellow glowing in the dull light. The armor the Viscet wore was a silver, heavy on the male's back, the sizing making it appear to be custom made. There were holes at the top, where flames would spurt out now and then but disappear quickly. The flames reflected that of the Viscet's emotions, the flame appearing in times of hope or positive emotions. The flames weren't there currently due to the Viscet's state of constant fear, searching around frantically for something he'd lost.
“Please Jay, don't leave me, you can't leave me here. It's cold and I'm so very alone… I can't see as well” The male Viscet cried out to the silent forest.
