res w a grumpy boyyo with a charm ( maybe something belonging to his mother in the first place like a pendant or so ) who's a massive mama's boy and kind of resents giddion for "ruining his life" ( though this is only a phase, he'll mature and realize how much he's hurt his father and feel super bad abt it ) so he tries to ignore his charm ( keeps it in a locked box under his bed and gets aggressively defensive about it ) and is an all-around troubled kid, more than likely to follow in his mother's pawsteps and become a thief around his teenage years

Seth, much like most children, loves his family - even with the strangeness of it all. He loves his brother a great deal and admires the strength Ezra had when they first found out that he, unlike Seth, was bound in the same way their father is. Occasionally, Seth feels as if he doesn't get to spend as much time with Ezra as he would like as he tends to spend most of his time in the library with Giddion. In these times he wishes on his behalf that he wasn't bound so he could spend less time at the library and more time together, but he completely understands why he does it and is content with the amount of time they do spend together evn though it would obviously be nice - you just can't have it all.

The pair enjoy their separate things, but are basically inseparable. Ezra prefers his books and swimming while Seth is more interested in other things. When they're together, though, it's a little bit like they're one entity. All Seth has to do is look at Ezra when he comes home with their father and he can tell that they didn't have much success, but he can't wait for the day when he comes home with a different look in his eyes. In the limited free time he has, Seth tries to help find a way to unbind them but that really isn't as much as the time Ezra and Giddion spend at the library. They tell each other everything and Seth hopes that it stays that way even into their adult years. Yes they occasionally have their arguments but what siblings don't? They can argue and then two seconds later it will be like nothing has happened.

As a son, he holds a great deal of respect for his father and really enjoys the stories he gets told by him but particularly the ones about him and their mother. He's hardworking and spends all his time trying to find a way to make himself mortal again or at the very least remove his bonds, but no matter how slim the chances he still keeps going. That level of perseverance is something Seth would love to achieve at some point, but for now he's content admiring his father's. As for Zhaneel, Seth doesn't particularly mind her job. Obviously it's not ideal but she does what she has to do. Sometimes, however, as a protest to violence he will hide her weapons but she always seems to find them anyway. Seth isn't really closer to one parent than the other. In his opinion they make an awesome team and mostly divide their time and attention equally between their children. He loves his family no matter what they do and always will.

Seth is a very affectionate boy and loves nothing more than a cuddle on the couch and a movie with his mother and father. Most of the time, like his brother, he is very quiet but for a completely different reason. This isn't because he's shy but because he chooses his battles wisely and won't bother speaking if he doesn't have anything useful to contribute. In cases when he does, he takes his time to chose his words very carefully. One thing he really hates is suprises. Seth really hates the build up to them and doesn't like it when people spring anything on him, so a suprise party would not be the most ideal way to celebrate. He prefers to know things in advance.

When he's standing up for what he believes in, Seth can get quite feisty. He's not afraid, however, to offend people if it gets his point across but that would only be as a last resort. At the same time prefers to use words than actions due to his pacifist nature. He hates violence, blood and anything of a similar theme so he avoids it most of the time in an attempt to remain this way - he even fainted once when he saw someone get beaten up at school. Seth has never hit anyone and never plans to, the idea of doing something like that makes him shudder and he would never stoop to that level of what is, in his opinion, a form of cowardice. His idea of 'fighting like a man' includes well thought-out arguments pitched back and forth. He is fiercely protective of his loved ones and (verbally) fight anyone who would dare try to hurt them. Since his mother is well-equipped in self-defence since she needs to be as part of her job he's taken the time to learn some basic self-defence so that if it ever came down to it he could at least block a few blows aimed at him.

Seth isn't bound like his brother but still wears a charm anyway. He initially started wearing it to make Ezra feel better about it all, but it stuck as a habit so now he wears it all the time. While Ezra's charm is a coin, Seth's is an old, partially rusted bell which he's looped onto a piece of string. At some point in the future, he considering maybe turning the bell into a piercing, but for now he ties it around the bottom of his hair as it's less complicated. It's not the best or prettiest charm - no matter how hard he tries he can't polish it, and part of it is missing so instead of jingling it has a dull rattle to it - but he's kind of attached to it and can't see himself suddenly deciding to not wear it.

Seth is fascinated by old objects. He really enjoys tinkering with them and it's particularly satisfying to see the object working again after he's spent a while working towards repairing it. Each item may have passed through the hands of many people before it ended up in his and that thought really appeals to him. It all started when he found a tarnished pocket watch by a bin. He asked around and waited a while to see if anyone would come back for it before he concluded that it was no longer wanted and brought it home with him. The pocket watch, however, didn't tick for some reason so he found a screwdriver and unscrewed the back off to try and find the source of the problem. After a couple of hours of tinkering the watch started to tick again and he's kept it ever since along with an assortment of other objects he has repaired. He'll never forget how satisfying it was to go from hearing silence to the comforting tick of a pocket watch, and it is because of this experience that he has an affinity for fixing things but in particular watches.

Since then, he has repaired many things including a mechanical doll with, granted, fairly simple movements and mechanics but he was very proud of that achievement. His desk is always littered with various projects he's working on and his shelves are full of knicks and knacks which he's found around the place and mended. Seth finds it quite difficult to work on one thing for too long, and finds that it's more productive to work on multiple things at once, so he always has several ongoing projects so that he can flit between them. Some of the projects he currently has are from fellow school students who have entrusted him with their father's grandfather's wristwatch or pocketwatch, for example, and asked him to mend it for them.
