one regret they have; ||
Beatrix, without a doubt, regretted her childhood years. She was awful, ruled the playground, sought out ways to take down anyone without a remorse. To this day, she still could remember few victims clearly. One of them being
Rudy, a weak one, always hiding his eyes. He had approached a swing set, all of the seats occupied by her and her friends, and politely asked if he could have a go. Beatrix remembered shoving his bangs back, and a pair of gold eyes stared back at her fearfully. She cackled right in his face, called him a freak. Rudy had a such monochrome color, and BAM, his eyes were gold. It was too weird. She watched the boy brush his bangs down and curl into himself. She laughed about it to her friends before telling him to find a ditch to play in.
The reputation stuck for a while, a lot of her friends would constantly try to get his bangs away from his eyes, threatening him with scissors, blowing right in his eyes, brushing it away, and list goes on. They'd often call him a freak whenever he did his usual response, protect his bangs, and lower his head while Beatrix did her cackle.
Then one day, he was just gone. He haven't graduated from school yet, but he remained absent for weeks until the students stopped bothering to wonder about him. That have never happened before, normally her victims would eventually come to terms with their flaws, and Beatrix would get bored of them. They never just go and disappear on her without a word.
Soon enough it started to come back at her. The rumors of '
did you think Beatrix pushed him off the edge?' kept going around like a string phone, and it haunted her. She wanted to have fun, but she soon realized that the 'fun' was not fun for anyone who she bullied. She started to ask herself, "how would I feel if someone poked at my flaws?" She had attempted to talk to her friends about it, but she had deemed them fake friends, as they never understood. They wanted to forget about Rudy, and find someone new. Beatrix wasn't letting her colossal mistake slide, so she turned over her crown, and started to try to change other viscet's outlook on her. She wanted to make amends by helping them out with anything they had problems with. It was slow, but gradually they started to try to trust her.
But Beatrix never felt any better about it, still. She wanted to know where Rudy went most of all, fortunately for her, a viscet had informed her of a brother. Once she gathered up things to ask, to say, she went to where he lived. She knew this house very well, having once gone there on Rudy's birthday only to pelt him in rotten eggs.
After introducing herself to
Xylier, she was informed that Rudy met someone named
Bronte, who decided to let him live with her. He doesn't know where, but he's sure that it was on other side of the city. Beatrix felt content with finally knowing that Rudy was somewhere safe.
