The volcano broke the dry, compact land which corked the lava within and spewed the molten rock forth and over its edges. The glowing liquid slid down, embracing the body of the fallen viscet and eventually slipping to the seas where it merged with the water in a collision of steam and violent hissing. The surface of the magma cool and the molten rock was stopped in its tracks, sealing the body of the fallen viscet in hard stone. Eventually, the lava stopped flowing, and the magma was entirely cooled. Night had fallen over the land and the shadows cast from the moon ran long and high. The scene was eerie and sent chills through the bodies of anything which drew near it. Within the quiet seas, the fish were absent and the crabs and mollusks were tucked away deeply into rocks. Even the sharks which ruled the coral reefs were nowhere to be seen. Life was vacant from the island, and everything seemed frozen in time.
Then, a small light shimmered from beneath the hardened stone. Golden magma slipped from its cage and flowed through the water before pausing and spiraling. Soon after its dance began, the water joined in. Magma and water flowed together in harmony in a fluid and elegant dance as they morphed and melded together, transforming into something new. As the magma cooled, encasing some water within its stone shell, the form of a mane-less viscet began to appear. The figure hovered in the water, frozen in stone. After several moments, water began to gather at the viscets cheeks, elbows, and ankles and hardened to become slightly transparent blue, orange, and red fins. From its back, blue, yellow, orange, and red flames suddenly burst to life within the water, creating a burning mane for the figure. At the eruption of life on its back, the stone the viscet cracked and peeled off, revealing a dark coat painted with brilliant colors. In a dance of water, fire, and rock, the viscet was freed from its encasing and cracked open its luminous eyes for the first time.
