name: Isi, the fawn deity
gender: genderless
Becoming insane: Around for as long as time has had records kept, Isi walked amongst their forest keeping balance among all sorts of life. Though not strong, they were obeyed and allowed to keep everything in order. However, men began to explore beyond their homes and through the wilds which surrounded his homes. At first, Isi was wary of these beings, who lived so differently compared to that which thrived in their forests. Despite this, Isi was discovered and soon thereafter revered for their power and influence. Small shrines were built on the paths that wound around the forest home, giving this deity like being more power. Grateful for this blessing, Isi in turn reached out and blessed those who blessed them.
With time, however, the meaning of these shrines grew forgotten and men and their ilk began to desire expansion and power. The forest began to be destroyed, a little at a time at first, then burned in great patches. The destruction of their home, shrines, and those in their care drained Isi of a great deal of its power and sanity. Now, Isi clings to a small patch of woods, aggressively protecting that which remains under their care. The woods are said to be cursed and few centre in or are willing to destroy any more of the fauna or flora.
But will it always be this way or will some daring human challenge Isi - directly or by bringing about more destruction? If he or she does, it is likely that Isi will lose any semblance of sanity and go on a rampage until something is done to stop them. What that needs to be is yet unknown.
