Username: Razors
name: Ronia
Gender: Female
Personality: Ronia is a sweet and polite child. She seems to enjoy playing by herself but she does long for a companion that she'd be able to play with, as she does not know any children her age. Most of those who surround her are adults that do not have time to play with a child. This has resulted in her wishing that she never grows up, so that she never looses the ability to enjoy simple things like rolling in flowers or bathing in the sun. She is not overly hyper, but she does have moments where excitement take over and she becomes a bouncing bundle of energy. Ronia is a thinker, she quietly thinks things over to herself and sometimes even has conversations with herself over a topic or if she is doing something. She has a habit of also talking to random creatures, whether it is a bee, a bird, a squirrel, or even her beloved flowers. She seems content talking to these things and even though they do not actually reply to her or carry on conversations with her, she is okay with this. The worst thing she experiences, thus far, is at night. For all of Ronia's cheerfulness, nights are hard times. She does not have a family of her own, she lives alone and takes care of herself, so when the social little child settles in at night she finds herself plagued by loneliness. There's no one to talk to, no warmth to snuggle into, no one to keep her company. Her nights are sometimes long and sleepless, especially during thunder storms. The little viscling curls herself up and tries to busy her mind with thoughts of the day until she falls asleep. Aside from her bad nights, though, Ronia seems to keep herself busy and satisfied. What do they like to do in the summer: After waiting all Fall and winter, the moment spring comes it brings with it life. New growth and new flowers! The moment the fields are filled with beautiful rainbows of wildflowers, the bouncing form of Ronia can be found there, rolling down the hills through the new growth. She adores the smell of the new flowers after so long of dead leaves, snow, and being locked inside. Her absolute favorite, though, is to make crowns with the flowers. Only the best, most beautiful flowers are used for her crowns. Only one or two are kept for herself, though. The rest? Little Ronia sets herself up a 'crown' stand in a nearby town. For just a few cents the people who pass by get the beautiful hand woven crowns that Ronia made and carry with them the natural, lovely, perfume of wildflowers. It is amazing just how well this little hobby of hers does, and people have come to ask for her by name. To make up for the flowers that she picks, a little portion of her earnings are used to buy seeds from an elderly woman who loves to garden. She will buy the seeds and dance about the field, scattering them here and there, allowing the seeds to land where they will. Some are picked up by birds, she knows, but next spring when a new patch of colored flowers pops up, she knows where they came from. The little money that is left is kept safely stashed away until she needs it or decides she wants something.
Each crown she makes for herself is carefully preserved, some by pressing, some by air drying. Whatever the method, she has a crown or two from every spring, including her very first spring, saved at home. (296 words)
